You can all sleep safely now, knowing that the scourge of racist butter will no longer threaten your esistence.

The iconic Native American woman has been removed from all butter and margerine packaging for the Minnesota-based company Land O’Lakes.
In a press release, the company announced that it has introduced a new brand of packaging without mentioning the Native American woman’s removal. The new packaging simply features the “Farmer-Owned” Land O’Lakes before an evergreen wilderness.

There is literally nothing racist about it
If anything you are contributing to the erasure of Native Americans

Damn, will be buying different butter now. I was only buying Land o lakes because of the delicious yet subtle taste of racism I got with every bite.

Maybe removing the artwork will lower costs.
I have never understood why Land-o-Lakes costs 1/3 more than the plain butter package sitting right beside it.

I'm actually good with this move. I have an irrational fear of getting scalped in a grocery store by a Cherokee Indian. Her smiling eyes and soft features may signal creamy deliciousness for some, but for me, it's just blood and savage pain.

Country Crock is the best butter. Pretty Injun squaw or not.

The pocketbook’s bottom line is all that matters in the end !!! Told them since they removed the Indian Maiden from their packaging, we have removed them from our refrigerator...

Why is American business trying to wipe away American Indian heritage from our culture? They're doing a damn good job of it.
