His plan is to put greater State Police forces in New Orleans to protect the City. This is a common sense, easy solution that should pay dividends.

That’s the plan for all of the Republican candidates.

Eta. and it’s a shortsighted plan on its own.

Here is Jeff Landry's plan for education:

quote:

NO CHILD SHOULD BE TRAPPED IN A FAILING SCHOOL
If a school cannot adequately educate its students, those students should be given the ability to obtain an education that is worthy of the commitment we have made to them. We should ensure that money is not the reason why a child in Louisiana is unable to reach their full learning potential. Zip codes and family income should not trap students in schools that don’t equip them for the next stage of their lives.

90% of what was on his website was an education term word-salad. But at least we get that he is pro-school choice. That's at least something.

Of course so is every other Republican, but he should still get some credit.

After Landry and his trial attorney friends sue the shite out of Louisiana industry there will be no $$ for vouchers.

It’s terrible that Landry is going to get so many automatic votes despite having no concrete policy positions whatsoever for Louisiana.

Landry has the same backing that JBE had, trial lawyers

Real story is that he just doesn't think he needs to. "I'm tough on crime and I'll keep the tranny's from having Tranny Story Hour"

That’s ridiculous! I attended a Landry talk and he gave specific radical policies for crime solving. One was that he was going to open a State Trooper station in NOLA to control crime there.

I’m not saying his policies would be effective, but to say he doesn’t have any is an absurd slander.

State police really are not going to do shite in NOLA. Maybe write some traffic tickets on West End Blvd? Hardly radical. Because that's all they can do unless the mayor and council invite them in.

Landry knows this. Now you do too. Read up on home rule.Landry can't do shite in that regard.

And there were enough votes cast for Murphy Painter to force a run-off last election in AP. Clown status runs deep.

A vague and untenable plan to attempt to lower crime in Orleans Parish is not what I would call a policy position in a governors race.

But yea sure, let’s give him credit for having the same position as 90% of all other people who have ran for Governor since Katrina. “Send LSP in”

What’s absurd is claiming there is a significant difference between proposing a knowingly ineffective policy and not proposing one at all.

Regardless, Landry owns the crime problem because he’s been AG. Where’s his RICO charge against Cantrell? The city council?

Well you should learn how to search for things on the internet.

He's already in a fight against your elected Pedocrats to clean up New Orleans and he has vowed to impeach rogue prosecutors that are dropping charges and failing to file charges against violent criminals.

Who else is headhunting Jason Williams?

I watched the video and read his website and I don’t see any specific policies, only talking points. I have no problem voting for Landry but I want to see specific actions will will take once elected.

These would be relevant if Landry was running for Mayor of New Orleans, or for his current position.

Who is voting for Landry for governor because he’s going to fight crime in New Orleans? Catering a candidacy to JP and NOLA commuters is exactly why South Louisiana Republicans have had so many issues north of I-10 in recent elections. No one outside of those areas gives a rats arse about New Orleans.

Landry wouldn't have vetoed the bill keeping anyone from teaching gay sex and gender fluidology to the children.

Would it matter what plan Landry or any other Republican put forth? You’re voting for the Democrat regardless.
