It's meant to tumble when it hits flesh. Which is probably what OP meant.
I see a lot of opinions on it. Most say that the tumbling was an unintended but beneficial result of the earlier M-16s that was later corrected by changing barrel twist and grain size, but today with such a variance of barrel lengths, twists and rounds, it's not uncommon. I'm sure you could probably put some deliberation into achieving that result but don't know of anyone who does really. Most people want as stable a round as possible for accuracy.

Wouldn't be illegal for the gun store to sell guns or bullets to someone under 21. But anyway, You don't shoot hollow poing at a gun range, Full metal jacket would do less damage than a hollow poing because a hollow point mushrooms on the end when stricing something hard like bone. The full metal jacket keeps it's shabe after contack. I don't believe that it tubles. Full metal is used in gun ranges. Like Kyle said, a bullet that hits vital areas can kill.

cringed when Kyle told that.
yep - me too - the only weak spot I have seen so far that has any legitimacy at a ll.
I think it goes to Kyle not being some obsessed "gun nut" more so a young guy trying to deter attacks.

I don't own an AR15 type weapon. I've fired my brother's AR15, and the .223 ammo was always FMJ. Any of you AR15 baws ever use HP ammo? I'm thinking it would be more likely to jam.
Not in an AR15 ....but I carry Hollow Points in my 357 Mag.
I bought that for hunting in Wyoming. Five hollow points in the bear charging and one for myself.

I usually keep my magazines loaded with JHP varmint rounds, they feed and fire just fine.

No it’s not. If you have a gun that keyholes it’s round your gun is fricked up. A tumbling round couldn’t hit shite with any accuracy past 25 yards.
The tumbling myth started during the early days of the M16. Tge barrel twist rates were 1:14. This did cause stabilization issues but was corrected with fast twist rates.
Sorry, meant to tumble when it hits a fleshy target.
You still missed the point, it doesn't matter the prosecutor shouldn't testify.

No. It isn't handgun ammunition.

For what its worth I use green tips when shooting hogs in my bean fields. I dont want to drop them in the field, I would prefer they make it to the woods and die there. If you have ever spend a couple hours digging rotting hog hide and bones out of a combine you will know why.
This is the difference between urban and rural. I'm not a hunter but I've been around hunters and firearms forever, and I swear I've heard nearly the exact same thing VERBATIM from my in-laws in SW Louisiana. Anyone that knows anything about firearms was shaking their heads at the ADA today.
For street cred...one Christmas morning my in-laws handed out containers of tannerite to the guys that were big hunters/shooters...and we proceeded to go out onto the back porch and have someone run out into the rice field and place them probably 50-75 yards away and then shoot them with a high powered rifle. BOOM!

Putting Kyle on was a move to humanize him and make sure the few on jury that couldn’t be swayed to defend him possibly would. They felt his actual position was strong enough to move jury.
Prosecutor was drawing out time to make sure he got to lunch and get his actual questions together. Legitimately think he had no expectations Kyle was on today. As obv by fact he has to run to his office and get those questions.
Look for things to be different after lunch.

There was a lot of tweaking after Stoner's design was given to the Army and Marine Corps. Too many chefs ruin the stew was in play for the first decade or so of the weapon's life.
With few exceptions, "bullet" design has only marginal effects on terminal performance, particularly if done in isolation from other design features (match grade barrels, trigger, chamber tolerance), very few of which are present on military or consumer grade weapons.

Binger just became a lefty AllStar.
yep he'll be part of biden's team within a week of the verdict.
remember the lefties are in charge 'government by committee' so they like to tweak anyone left of center so they know tapping this loser to be part of the DOJ will trigger anyone slightly right of center.
