Enh, it'll toughen them up. They play in that temp.

I would argue that in that instance it should still be on the parents themselves to decide on appropriate risk mitigation methods and not the schools.
Remind me again how many functioning, healthy kindergarten-age kids without terminal health problems have died of/with covid?
That number is surely astronomical, given the reaction by the city, state and school district, right?
The number is zero.
Also, don't forget how fat arse the average teacher is - they are probably terrified of their own co-morbidities.

Please tell me this isn’t due to Covid
Edit: I mean I don’t care what reason it’s for they shouldn’t be doing, but if it’s because of Covid then that city truly, utterly has lost all hope

And not the forcing children to sit outside in the cold part?

Child abuse? Maybe.
Asinine? Absolutely.
Reason for homeschooling? Absolutely.
If they do stupid shite like this, you know they'll jab those kids without permission ASAP.

I see you're really honing in on the true issue here.

No, but many people are acting like it's awful that they are eating outside.

Hey bub, I raised some successful kids. I was tough on them. Sitting out on buckets spaced apart like dumb democrats at 5 years old is wrong.
It is Portland. They can keep it.

When will parents tell schools that do these things to get F’d and remove their children? Why not try private or home schooling?

quote:OK lady. This isn't going to damage them. There's a school down the road from me that doesn't have a cafeteria and many times the kids are out eating in 40 degree weather. The spacing is dumb and I've never disagreed that distancing was stupid.

Kids in NYC public school are facing the same kind of dem policies. Meanwhile, teachers get to eat together and indoors.

I think the important part is they're not eating in the lunchroom because of politically induced hysteria. We could put kids on a "get tough" program, and I think they'd still eat in the room designed for eating lunch, shite in the bathroom rather than on the playground, etc.
