When did this board get so dark and cynical ?

What happened to optimism and conservatism going hand and hand?

When did we start looking at most every scenario as the glass half empty vs half full?

Got online yesterday to read he had won. Immediately went to the SOS website and changed from Republican to No Party. Yep, it was very simple to do and after 44 years of membership, there are no regrets. Until a party can remove leadership from California and New York this country can not heal.

So, you realize your hero Trump backed McCarthy right?

Are you deliberately ignoring Lord Trump?

Weren't you just bitching how everyone is so cynical (except you, of course)? Does it rattle your tiny little brain and its corresponding world view to consider that Trump voters are more independent thinkers than people like you?

The Republican Party is dead to me. I will vote for no Democrats and only a very few Republicans, henceforth.

I thought it was a good and genuine speech. Hope he walks the walk, as well as he talked the talk.

I’ll be cheering for him. Even if he wasn’t my first choice either.
Only a democrat, or a fool (most often BOTH) would NOT be!

We learned what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately we were right, but to fail none the less.

The last politician to walk the walk was Duterte of the Philippines.
'Elect me and I'll kill the drug dealers.'
He got elected. He killed the drug dealers.

The first week of November, 2020.

The reality of the circumstances became very clear.

You do you though. I must say, it sounds nice in your make believe world. Carry on.

Very disappointing.

Circa November 2008. Then the sky wasn't falling for the first 2 years of the Trump presidency. Pretty much incessant whining by grown men that are making a mockery of themselves. Completely overcome by their emotions and not worried about facts. They're just as bad as the leftists have always been

Did we watch the same speech? It was boring and the same old platitudes from what I saw.

At least we still have a long way to go before sinking all the way to your level.

Which leaves the alternate possibility that OP’s ulterior motive was trolling. Around Thunderhorse platform for wahoos.

It’s always the same ole shite, wrapping themselves with the flag and constitution, nostalgically name dropping our forefathers ; as they take a shite on the American people., the Flag, and Constitution. That’s why people loved Trump, as he actually did what he said he would do, and had the economy roaring before they released Covid to stop him and rigged the election. McCarthy said a lot of good things, but he doesn’t seem strong enough to do anything , so I’ll watch what he actually does, which I doubt is much.
