Comrade Honor Code will try to hop on the “inevitable” bandwagon. Don’t buy it.

JBE really isn't as bad as I thought he would be
This perception is why I believe he will be difficult to beat. He has all of the information tools on his side (the press and such), so it's difficult for the truth to reach the people.

Gutless pussies that does not deserve one vote for them.
There's still time but it's absolutely inexcusable that they're going to let a democrat in a bright arse red state just get by without a major challenge from their bench.

what do y'all think of state senator sharon hewitt?

Dammit. No Kennedy, no Scalise, no Landry, no win.
I swear, one more term of the Turtle means I’ll lose both my boys to Texas. Along with many more billions of my company’s projects.

Big fan.
But could she unseat JBE? No.

JBE is horrible unless you are on the Government dole. Anyone thinking anything else isn’t paying attention.

Tried to tell you. He wasn't going from Treasurer>Senator>Governor in the blink of an eye. He's more stable than that. Not going to be one-and-done Senator with unlimited terms. He's set for life.
Yah I’m not sure why any politician would go from a comfy senate seat to a term limited tough governor race. He could be in the senate for the next 20 years

I wonder, if he wins reelection, if the national Democrat party tries to recruit him for a run in 2024. A democrat that can win 2 terms as governor of a deep red state would be attractive, in my opinion, to the Democrat party.

Thank goodness he didn’t drag this out. Kennedy is a major POS and the GOP can do better. So, let’s take a look at who is left:
Abraham: solid, unexciting, experienced, relatively unknown outside north LA
Rispone: outsider business candidate, money out the arse, no political experience, focus on fisncal issues, completely unknown outside of his industry (petrochem/refinery construction)
Haven’t declared yet, but possible:
Scalise: widespread support, household name all over the state, massively experienced, but would have to leave behind major power-position in the U.S. house.
Graves: young, charismatic, experienced, plenty of conservative bonefides, but relatively unknown outside BR area.
Higgins: says stupid crap constantly but has a solid voting record, well known around the state due to his crimestoppers videos, would get demolished by JBE

Only an idiot would leave the U.S. Senate to run Louisiana.

It's really shitty timing of people being either too happy with their current positions that still has a lot of upward mobility or not yet strong enough to win a statewide election.
Kennedy loves it in the senate, Scalise has a leadership position and Jeff Landry is by no means strong enough to win a gubernatorial election.

If Kennedy really was not going to run, he had no business waiting this long to announce it.
He called a press conference for this morning. Then this morning, he issued a 2 paragraph statement.
Either this is an excellent "put me in the spotlight again" moment, or, he really didn't make up his mind until this weekend.
I still maintain he's better for us in the Senate than in the gov's mansion.
Can anyone catch fire now?
Foster went from unknown to governor in just a few months, but there was no incumbent in that race.
There was an article a few days ago that discussed GOP donors bringing money to JBE. That doesn't really fit with the "JBE is bad for business" thing.

Damn, didn’t see this coming

Bingo. Vitter was inevitable and then boom, a communist from Amite wins.

Y'all should get Kash Jackson to run. He is from Louisiana and failed miserably trying to run for the Illinios governor seat.
