Paxton wins by 3-5% but the fact that Talarico is even having people engage in conversation 3 weeks out is terrifying. Granted it's more to do with Paxton's weakness than Talarico or the DNC's strength in Texas.
Robert O'Rourke would low key have had a chance at winning against Paxton.

thought we didn't believe in polls?
Definitely depends on what it says and if the board likes the results. They like OPs poll. But this one is fake news.

new poll from the University of Texas at Austin found Democrats with narrow leads in nearly every statewide race after trailing their Republican challengers in the same poll just two months ago — a sign of an increasingly competitive midterm election just days from early voting.
U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico and Democratic lieutenant governor candidate Vikki Goodwin each held 3-percentage-point leads over Republicans Ken Paxton and Dan Patrick, respectively. Nathan Johnson, Gina Hinojosa and Jon Rosenthal had 1-point leads in their races for attorney general, governor and Railroad Commission. Only in the comptroller race, featuring Don Huffines and Democrat Sarah Eckhardt, did a Republican hold an edge.

All a matter of perspective and bias

Polls always skewed toward Democrats have Paxton ahead.
Quantus Insights has a historical average bias of R+1.05.
Rasmussen says this particular poll is biased towards Republicans by even more than that.

Fixed it for you. Talarico was never going to win.

He would have performed better than Talafreako. Not sure he would have had a chance at winning either, but he's definitely a better candidate than this freak.

With a large portion of Musk's quarter billion contribution going into this race, I still see a real shot for Paxton.

But Talarico cares about Texas, he wore a flag shirt and choked down BBQ and he is vegan, he cares!
You make yourself look so uneducated with these statements.

I don’t know much about Texas politics, but if you look at the “legitimate” polls Talarico has never had over 47%. There have been a lot of undecided voters and the majority will probably break towards Paxton.
Talarico’s best chance is if 2% to 3% of the undecided voters vote for one of the 4 write-in candidates.
