Was Jordan amongst the group that negotiated the concessions that McCarthy threw in the trash can almost immediately as confirmation of his repulsive nature?
No. Exactly my point. Jordan didn't care about concessions. He welcomed McCarthy as is. So what makes him less repulsive to you than McCarthy?

then you'll never win an election again. Politics is about intelligent cooperation, not petulant exclusions. Eventually you run out of people to help you out. Which apparently has happened here.
But who is not cooperating?

I'm calling every number on this list. I'm leaving messages for anyone with a machine, but so far I've actually reached live people in Congressman Buck's office and Congressman D'esposito's. Mostly very nice people on the phones. I think they're all ready for their bosses to move on from this. That's the vibe I'm getting anyway.

For the record, Diaz-Balter's DC number has been apparently switched to a fax line. And their local office just hangs up. So that's nice and cowardly.

Right now is this constant barrage of phone calls," Buck said. "So far, I've had four death threats. I've been evicted from my office in Colorado. I have a notice of eviction because the landlord is mad with my vote record on the speaker issue. And everybody in the conference is getting this."
Maybe, you know, do your job and represent your constituents
The job is to vote the way your voters want you to. Not what you think is best or what you prefer. I’m tired of politicians forgetting this fact

Buck just made his life even worse.
He voted against Jordan again.
He voted against Jordan again.

Imagine tanking your career for a meaningless vote

If thats what the majority of his constituents want, thats how he should vote.

I'd find that hard to believe. Seems like the majority of people who have any opinion whatsoever on SOTH support Jordan. Vast majority of people just want this to be over

They expect him to vote in a manner that represents their interest.
And that is up to his judgment. Not a public referendum on every issue. Its representative democracy and not direct democracy.
He is representing all of his constituents, not just his party, the people who voted for him, or the majority of his constituents.
If the majority of constituents don't like his judgment, they don't reelect him.

You could poll the constituents of every Faux conservative that is voting against Jordan and their constituents would overwhelmingly be in favor of Jordan for speaker......there's an obvious disconnect between street level conservative Americans and their congressional representatives.
