Kemp signed the Heartbeat Law. He did it before Dobbs, Dobbs made it legal.
Kemp signed constitutional carry.
Kemp signed the anti-ballot harvesting law (Jim Eagle) and got the MLB All Star Game pulled from Georgia.
He did these three things before the 2022 midterm.
And still beat Fat Stacy by 10 points among the metro Karens.
Can't count him out.

2x Trump voter here.
The Kemp hate here is ridiculous. He won huge last time around. GOP won up and down the ticket except for Herschel because he was a terrible candidate. If you think this isn’t true take a long look in the mirror because you are denying reality.
The last two elections prior the GOP has majorly failed to get voters to vote. They took GA for granted. Dems poured massive money into GA and built a ground game we couldn’t match. Hate to say it but Stacy Abrams succeeded there.
I’ve posted here before that I flew out of ATL to DC immediately after Warnock was elected and everyone in the airport was talking about getting him elected and which other campaigns they’ve worked on. Hundreds and hundreds of people flew in to help his campaign. This was covid January 2021 - no one was traveling - one security line - I could basically hear everyone in the airport. There was an election celebration (for Warnock that I didn’t participate in) on the plane that reminded me of a flight back to NOLA from ATL after LSU won an SEC championship. Everyone on the plane cheering and laughing it up except for those unaffiliated who just happened to be on the plane.
The dems have built a machine here that Kemp rolled because Georgia has been so successful under his leadership. Republicans need to build a ground game to match that of the dems for future national elections or we’re fricked. It’s not Kemp’s fault. It’s the party’s fault.

Very, very possible that Kemp ends up as DeSantis' running mate should DeSantis win the nomination.
The GOPe will play a prominent role in DeSantis' decisions. Not because he is GOPe or they own him, but because they view him as a project; someone they think they can work with but want to keep reins on and leverage over. As Reagan was stuck with GHWB, DeSantis will very likely be stuck with a GOPe stool pigeon.
Kemp undoubtedly has a future in DC. The GOPe have big plans for him, he is one of their top prospects. McConnell has been establishing a close relationship with him over the past year.

Also, don't forget that he opened Georgia back up early in the face of strong opposition from state and national political opponents, the media, and then President Trump himself.
I know some people immediately fly into a rage when they see his name and therefore the chance of any fruitful discussion goes out the window but Kemp has illustrated that he can be a crafty, calculating politician.
As Bill said of W in 2000 when everyone was mocking the TX guv..."It would be a mistake to underestimate him."

You gotta tune that up a little better with the Trump part. Yeah yeah, Trump blah blah blah. Truthfully though, real talk, dead serious, on my mother’s eyes, Trump only specifically referred to the category of your various parlors. I.e. Massage parlors Asian, regular, all that. Then tattoo parlors as well. The common theme being up close and personal, person to person contact, and even subdermal. Kempsy didn’t carve out any special guidelines or anything for those, which probably wouldn’t have been all that outlandish. I think Trump was well within reason to voice his concern about that particular aspect.

Kemp is by far the best governor. He didn't give in to the shut down police and opened Georgia back up the quickest. He gets shite done and doesn't care what people or polls think about him. He silently gets things done and doesn't get down in the mud with Trump. I said in a few months ago that he would be a dark horse for a presidential run.
