Kavs' First SCOTUS Decision? Citizenship Question on 2020 Census

Just a day after Justice Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as a member of the US Supreme Court, there has been speculation that his first vote could revolve around a Trump administration request to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census.
The US Constitution mandates a census every 10 years, which is used to allocate seats in Congress and state legislatures and distribute billions of dollars in federal funds
Critics of adding a citizenship question to the census have said it will deter people in immigrant communities from participating in the census, disproportionately affecting Democratic-leaning states.

Personally I like the idea of the question, but is it constitutional?

It is hard to fathom unless you accept they want no borers and no limit on their powers and all of our money to pay for it

Why wouldn't it be? It was included in previous censi, and only omitted when Black Jesus was in WH.
Besides, it's implied that a census is a count of citizens.

Sounds good to me. Take some electoral college votes from California and New York.

Why shouldn't every single adult given the census not have to present two legitimate, current and government recognized forms of identification, one of which must be a photo ID?
Why not? Someone from our resident liberals answer me that please. Why. The. Frick. Not?? I have no issue with that. If states have issue with that, encourage your citizens to obtain proper identification before the census. If not, it counts against state per capita.
Seems only the party with something to hide, would take issue with this. Now, tell me I'm wrong...

The way the law is written is that all residents ( not legal citizens) must be counted.
Each resident is worth approximately 150k in Federal funding over the ten year period. When I learned that it began to make total sense that a broke arse state like California would want to import as many people as possible before the next census.

I've said it before, but our Founding Fathers (and those who wrote subsequent amendments) fricked up bad when they used "people" instead of "citizens" in the Constitution.

More illegals = more leftist representatives.

And it is PEOPLE not CITIZENS ONLY that are to be counted.
The only purpose of that question is to try to keep Latinos from being counted for Congressional apportionment purposes. It is all part of the plan to minimize minority representation and voting.

Wrong mi amigo.
It's directed at illegal aliens whoever they may be.

No, it's about keeping non-citizens from voting, even the white ones. Not everything is about race no matter how much you want it to be.

At least fables named the so-called critics like Chicken Little.
