Hopefully the Metcalfs can sue but perhaps the parents aren’t liable since they didn’t actually commit the crime. Maybe an attorney can opine?

All true, but the problem on their end is they have already blown through most or all of that money and her son is no longer a 'victim' on trial as a fundraising tool.
