A Notice of Appeal triggers the time you have to actually appeal to the higher court. It gives the trial court time to have the entire court record prepared and sent to the appeals court and costs must be paid in advance by the appellant.

Well in 17 years they will review that appeal. Asking are you remorseful if so why don’t continue to file for appeals stating you did not receive a fair trial.
