Lake with the state legislature will have to neuter him.

Nothing like the feckless Republican establishment leadership not pouring money into races "just cause" Trump endorsed the candidate. The wins that should have been but aren't are ALL on the RNC and Republican leadership.

I dont see how it's mathematically impossible. Pima county is going 62% for Hobbs with 66% of the vote in. Maricopa 52% Hobbs with 68% in.

Conservative talking heads are telling you what you want to hear and then setting up the stolen election narrative when their "mathematical impossibility" happens.

I guess I am just accustomed to Texas, where the Governor has little legislative role and is basically a figurehead in many ways. His biggest real power is executive appointments (though that can be substantial).

In Texas, the Lt. Governor has more REAL day-to-day power than the Governor.

If true, I am so happy for her and everyone else. That's wonderful.

Not sure, but I think it is because those numbers include mail in voting, which heavily skewed the number towards the Dems. Its ED votes from here on out.

this is true, and i actually like Abbott a lot more than Patrick. but alas.

there was one of those "man on the street" videos someone did where they asked college students who they were voting for and all said Beto. One ME/Indian student said, "well i can't actually vote as i'm a foreign exchange student, but I'd vote for Abbott. The real power in Texas lies in the Lt. Governorship anyways."

it was somewhat dumbfounding compared to the students who couldn't name a single policy they supported from Beto.

found it.

Agree, but just as important Abe Hamadeh wins Attorney General, they need each other. Abe is only 2/10 of a point behind.

Charlie Kirk is about to break it down again. I didn't realize all these republicans showed up to the polls with their ballots. He said it overwhelmed the system.

I can see that argument for some of it, but when it comes to people like Walker and Oz, it's just not true. And neither of them is really MAGA conservative, especially trans kid loving rino Oz, so that made it doubly frustrating.

I worked one session of the legislature as an aide in the Senate. Ann Richards would come wander the halls on occasion, but people lived in FEAR of Bill Hobby. Richards was glad-handing. Hobby was a SERIOUS man.

When someone said “the Governor,” there was no doubt that they were referencing Hobby.

They play right into the dems hands. there are so-called republicans that will let warnock win. And they really have no other reason than their own tds.
