31.5 billion per year and her plan is to raise the estate tax.

Stupid idea, and I hate anyone who wants expand the estate taxes because it’s bullshite to double tax wealth.

Also this seems like a way for the federal government to take control over education that should be local

Are we going to make entry into the job harder to obtain?

Or are we gonna let some retard who can cut paper and count to 5 on their hands make on the same level as Engineers?

Buying votes. Teachers vote in blocs. Here in Mississippi, otherwise conservative teachers routinely vote for liberal causes if they think they are being affected financially.

The pay for teachers is not Federal, it's State and Local.

It is especially since we have to raise your stupid kids

But anyone smart knows this is just a ploy for the teachers unions up north.

Amen brethren. I understand this is sorta against the grain, but Im personally sick of the coddling of this sector. They have my respect for sure, but how about they take a look at what public defenders, for instance, are making and maybe help them a little.

Preface: wife is a teacher.

Do I want to give her 13k more a year? I mean, ok, but that's not going to fix anything.

It's miss-management @ the administration level. I had to donate chairs and desks for my wife's class because they didn't have enough.

Fricking chairs.

More money is better for us but it still doesn't fix the problem.

Spend 1 week in a classroom without going to jail or getting fired, and I’ll give you $13k.

Easy money, coach.

Do you also teach personal hygiene?

I am sorry your district seems as poor as mine. I work in the worst district financially of the state and was moved there by my home district cutting a deal.

But the amount of money I’ve spent on kids is astonishing especially since it’s not school supplies but daily living for them.

Man there is a whole lot of teachers up in here. If you don’t want to deal with kids all week don’t teach. The pay is not good but the benefits are. I’d gladly let my wife go work at a school district for less money. The benefits are great!
