Honest question here: does time heal some or all wounds and they back her again? I get the feeling Newsom has it on lock unless he really screws up, which I don't think he can do ( and the double talk on that side is so thick that the bar for "Screwing up" is basically death).
I think Newsom is "clean" enough that he can skate through the election easily with their guaranteed left 30% of America and make a serious run against JD Vance for the middle ground. Neither Harris nor Biden was guaranteed that left 30pct and was not nearly serious enough about swaying centrists in swing states.
