I think if you made it to 20, you were a tribal elder. The world evolved.

And also led to the creation of the most prosperous, diverse, and equitable nation in the history of humanity. One where a person like her even has the opportunity to become VP.

The Indigenous people had CENTURIES of a head start on the European settlers. Yet, the land remained nothing more than a hodgepodge of tribal savages. And it would STILL, largely be so without the appearance of European settlers

They discovered America is what they did. They were brave explorers, and on this message board, they are heroes.

It’s one of those things that’s pretty shitty but at the same time, I’m not giving my property up and moving back to the Old Country.

I think We should all be a little ashamed of that period of time, but the people who get homier than thou about it while still living on said stolen land are hypocrites.

Why should I be ashamed of shite I didn't do? Should the Comanches feel ashamed for slaughtering and displacing the Apaches? Should the Romans fell bad for displacing the Etrucans? How far back do we need to feel guilty for shite we had no part in?

How come these Marxist politicians never outright speak the names of these countries where these explorers came from? England, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal… It’s always the United States, the former colony which gets criticized. Why is that?

The only WAY to right this perceived wrong is for everyone to leave America and go back to where they came from. There is bother Right to the Wrong of taking the land than to give it all back and leave. So unless she is willing to do exactly that, she should shut up or thank these explorers for creating a place where someone as absurd and awful as she is can be the Vice President of the most powerful country in the World.

If you feel any sense of pride in the bright spots of our nation’s history you should feel a little shame in the dark spots as well. Almost eradicating the Native American is shameful.

Now if you feel neither that’s fine. But most people who are angered by this do so because they’re very proud of our country.

Do I think About this everyday? No. Am I giving the land my house is on back to a Native American? No. Like I said, the vehemently holier than thou foo are hypocrites.
