Can we get a tl;dr? It’s a long shot to win Minnesota. It’s pretty socialist.

In 2016 Trumps campaign hammered these pockets of disenfranchised midwestern voters with targeted ad campaigns on facebook and youtube - the first Republican to really embrace the strategy

You think social media companies are going to let him do that this time? They're one step away from suspending your account for posting something positive about the president

He almost won it last time. He essentially got Perot'd by fringe candidates. Outside the Twin Cities it's not so socialist.

Would be nice to bank these electoral votes as a hedge against losing AZ and some other upper Midwestern states.

You are a liar and they are liars.

What the frick do you call decriminalizing border crossing?

Anybody who supports "sanctuary" cities supports open borders

OP is an interesting read for a political junky, but it looks like one of the loons writing about Blue Texas 2020. Pure fantasy.

For the average Trump enthusiast, any solution short of firing squads constitutes “open borders”

Its really simple.

Name one person that voted for Trump in 2016 that wont vote for him in 2020.

Trump is doing what the GOP failed to do for over a decade, make the Democrats defend versus having to defend Republican battleground states. Anyone can see the potus elections on each state on wikipedia and looking at Minnesota has some red flags for Democrats. The 2004 election the democrats won by 10%, 2008 by 10%, 2012 by 8% and 2016 by 1.5%.

I'm not saying Minnesota is going to go for Trump in 2020 but I'm saying Trump can make them have to spend money and resources defending Minnesota, a state not even Reagan could win.

I'd like to see the GOP also put more effort in the midwest and start advancing on blue states instead of waiting for a red state to turn blue .

Trump lost Minnesota by 44,765 votes.

Won Wisconsin by 22,748

Won Michigan by 10,704

Won Pennsylvania by 44,292

Won Ohio by 446,841

Democrats have to flip all 3 states to win. Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Very tall order.

“This is a show of hands question and hold them up so people can see,” co-moderator Savannah Guthrie told ten Democratic presidential candidates on June 27. “Raise your hand if your government plan would provide coverage for undocumented immigrants.”

Trump lost Minnesota by 44,765 votes. Beto lost Texas by 214,921 votes. How is it pure fantasy to think that Trump can overcome 44k votes?
