How many months did it take before they officially charged the Chicago 4 with hate crime charges?
I agree this situation looks very fricked-up and if it is what it appears they deserve to hang but my question is why does this only get covered one way because what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
I mean what message are we putting out here that because of slavery that they never went through they have a right to commit murder against us at a ten to one rate at the same time we are painted as the bad guy

Why are none of these disproportionate crimes reported? If you're white and you're killed by a black person in America the only way your murder is receiving any coverage at all is if you're like Tessa Majors and you're stabbed to death by a 14 year old in a famous park in the media capital of the world.
While you are correct about this instance needing coverage to at least get to the bottom of what happened it doesn't account for the lack of coverage of all of the other victims.
Look at Emanual Samson and Dylan Roof and the disproportionate reporting on it.
Emanuel Samson intended to kill a lot more than one person when he opened fire in the church. He shot the lady outside and then walked up on her rolled her over and shot her in the head. He also posted a lot of black supremacist propaganda on social media but if you Google search him that is not apparent.
Even left a note stating that he wanted to kill one more white person then Dylann Roof did black and he left that note on the dashboard of the truck he drove to the church.
I'm not sure if Emmanuel Samson ever received any national media coverage. Dylann roof has received more coverage in the fifth year after what he did than Emmanuel Samson has ever received.
There were 43 elderly white people in that church over 70 years of age except for the man that confronted Emanuel Samson. If he had been more successful and killed 9 white people would the media then have covered it?
How out of proportion does black on white violent crime and black on white murder have to get before it can receive some media coverage? Asking for a friend.

I'm apparently confused. I was of the understanding that the guy didn't have a gun, or I guess any other weapon, as I haven't seen it specified. Just that there was a tussle and the deceased had "grabbed at" and/or "pulled at" one of the two other guys' shotgun.

He didn’t have a gun, he had a hammer that he drops earlier in the video.
I’m saying he charged at someone who had a gun. Which is a pretty dumb move in general, but also because the person with the gun is now legally justified in shooting him.
