If you separate politics from this, it's a great opportunity for an up and comer attorney. Even though he will lose, it's free marketing.

Won't need it.

They'll be lining up to represent him for free.

Did you know that John Adams (yes that John Adams) defended Brit soldiers bc he believed they deserved a fair hearing?

History

I want this fricker to get a good defense, fair trial and speedy execution.

I thought they were all busy defending the black kid in Texas who stabbed the white kid to death for dissing him.

Keep cutting off USAID funds and you'll have less "pro bono" lawyers ready to make some NGO money from the many Soros funded orgs.

Providing a competent defense to this guy is actually strengthening the rule of law. We desperately need that.

The Soros-funded NGOs will be quick to queue up and take care of this piece of garbage.

Once they analyze the forensics, he will be undoubtedly linked to the weapon. He may have already confessed to it. I think he did to one of his friends on social media.

In any case, the State of Utah will seek the death penalty. I don't think he has any legal leverage at this point. He could say he will confess in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table, but they will prove at trial that he did it.

I have a felling that prosecutors will ask Erika Kirk her feelings of life in prison vs the death penalty, which may influence the prosecutors decision.

Why put this additional weight on her? The state has the death penalty. If premeditated murder of an innocent person in a public setting doesn’t qualify, then what does?

One purpose in punishing this dude is to discourage the next psycho from doing it. Firing squad should be on the table.
