No we need lawyers with ethics and morals which rules out almost all of them.

I don't think SFP is licensed to practice in Utah.

That’s somewhat of a non-sequitir but don’t let me stop you.

Why put this additional weight on her? The state has the death penalty.
I understand that. I think they may want to get her input, not they would base their decision on it. It will likely be at least a year from now that a trial would even take place.

SFP isn’t licensed to practice law anywhere. He’s not a real attorney. He only pretends to be one, here, on the internet and people eat it up.

Ya don't say!
Comparing the so called "Boston Massacre" to what happened with Kirk is beyond absurd

All he has to be licensed in one state and he can practice law on an pro hac vice admission in many states.
quote:
An attorney generally cannot practice law in a state where they are not licensed, but Utah offers specific pathways for non-admitted attorneys: they can apply for pro hac vice admission for a specific case or become admitted to the Utah bar through reciprocity if they meet the state's requirements and their home state has a reciprocal agreement with Utah. An attorney's presence in Utah does not automatically allow them to practice Utah law, but they may be able to offer legal services for clients in the state they are licensed to practice in, even from a Utah residence, provided they do not establish a permanent presence in Utah.
He could also tell the judge that he is a famous New York attorney, Jerry Gallo and have someone vouch for him in the clerks office.

Lawyers are immoral and unethical. Do you get that? They aren’t taught morality and ethics. When I was in LSU law school, one of the professors, Robert Pascal taught that lawyers were “priests of good order”. Somehow, I don’t think anyone hears that today.

You either have these or you don’t whether you’re a lawyer or not.

Doesn't matter. He will be executed.

He wouldn’t take the case, anyway. It’d be a little too much like actual work.

I would even argue that the less morals and ethics you have, the more successful you can be in the law profession. The only other professions where that holds true will land you in jail.
