Just look at her voting record compared to Fleming. Her record is atrocious and his is stellar

Did you at least remember to call him and thank him for fighting for Louisiana?

EDIT: I'm being sarcastic. I am referring to his campaign ad that said we should call and thank him.

I knew.

I'm looking forward to not having to see anymore Cassidy campaign ads in about 8 days from now.

Nah. I completely understand the entire situation. I have a problem with Fleming's fake piety. He's conservative, sure. But he's currently a statewide elected official and still on a lobbying firm's payroll. The lobbying firm Fleming works for is on the Ukraine gravy train. That's about as Swampy as it gets.

Point is: only reason Fleming's getting any attention is due to lies by Cassidy about Letlow. Fleming's not new to Louisiana politics. He's a 74 year old man who's been elected for nearly 20 years...just kinda over there in the corner. Awkwardly hoping to be noticed ever since he lost to Kennedy in 2016.

Fleming is a self-made man. He has plenty of money and a statewide elected position. He served 4 terms in the House and decided not to run for reelection. He could have chosen to remain in the House of Representatives in DC for decades if he had wanted to do so.

Totally false bro. Are you serious? Fleming literally vacated his House seat to run for U.S. Senate in 2016...against John Kennedy.

The lack of understanding about Fleming on this board is astounding...bordering on low information.

I voted for Fleming also. I wasn’t impressed with Letlow. I still haven’t figured out why Trump wanted her to run. Cassidy was never an option

Trump picked Letlow as a necessary evil against Cassidy. He thinks she is the best route to beat Cassidy. If Fleming wins, Trump will still be ecstatic.

Fleming didn’t vacate anything. His 2-year term expired in 2017. Now you are correct that Fleming didn’t run for reelection to the House because he was running for the Senate seat being vacated by David Vitter but you are wrong in saying he “vacated” his House seat.

Fleming vacated his seat. Vacate literally means "give up a position." I understand better what you mean now, but your post I originally responded to left out the part about Fleming running against Kennedy.

It bugs me that Fleming's so damn old now running for yet another public office while he literally holds an unrelated public office.

I'm more than okay voting for Letlow knowing Pres. Trump endorsed her for good reasons. Trump easily could've endorsed anyone else--he loathes Cassidy, and there are plenty of people he could've urged to run.

I firmly believe a lot of Fleming voters would already be more than happy with Letlow too were it not for Cassidy's early-and-often, massive barrage of smear ads against her.

That isnt much if that is the best you can say for him because his opponent is finishing her 3rd term and could also probably stay in DC forever as well is she didnt opt to run for senate since 65% is the lowest vote total she has gotten in 3 elections.

So why did he endorse her for Congress when she ran? Evidently he believes he can count on her more than Cassidy and Fleming who worked in his first term WH Admin but didnt get his endorsement…

There's plenty of hand wringing and cheer leading going on over this election, but two things are certain.

Cassidy is out with the trash, and no one we replace him with will outdo Luna.

Why can't a white man ( other than Trump ) fight for America?

Because he thinks she has a better chance at beating Cassidy. She already holding a national office in Washington so he figures she has a better shot.

Julia got her husbands seat when he passed away. I worked with and went to church with her husbands uncle. They are great people, but Fleming is just more conservative and will represent the state of La better. Julia will be another Amy Coney Barrett for La.

Letlow’s fiance’ is a lobbyist for the Carbon Capture Sequestration Industry
Fleming is 75.but he is very young for his age.I’m same age as him but I don’t have the energy level he does,he’s been all over the state running a grass root campaign.
I’ve seen him at several of the Anti-Carbon Capture meetings.
He is very much against CCS and the Eminent Domain tactic of trying to force landowners to allow CCS pipelines across their property.

I’ll not only vote for him,I sent him a campaign donation.
