Iran's top negotiator is now a resident of Hell.

Trump a few mins ago "Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb and we hope to return to the negotiating table. We'll see. There are some people in the leadership who won't return."

What does this mean? I'm not any kind of ME expert. It sounds like it means it is too far-gone for discussions. ??
It means that when Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal during his last administration, Trump forfeited US ability to invoke the international sanction snapback provision. If Iran elects not to negotiate, there’s nothing Trump can do. Iran intends to stall Trump until snapback expires in October. The sanctions will expire.
When Trump says “we will see” he literally means that because he unilaterally gave away the leverage that Obama created with the snapback provision.

I mean an email that says “I told you that you couldn’t have them” will suffice at this point.

No, he means Iran may no longer have a nuclear program to discuss.

That treaty was garbage and we do not need the permission of a treaty to place sanctions on Iran.
Sorry you are so uninformed.

There is something very unsettling about this whole situation. We are "negotiating" while our "closest ally" is bombing them and eliminating their government officials and we are supposedly the "good guys" in all this.
Decades ago, we should have offered to help Iran develop nuclear power plants and developed a good relationship with them that they wouldnt want to risk. Instead we threaten to kill them(or actually do) if they dont do what we want.
I dont for a second believe any of the narrative we constantly get about Iran. These arent savages, they actually have a nice country with a large Christian minority that the state recognizes and gives representation to in their government.
Of course they see western ideals as a threat. We supply the bombs and missiles that drop on them. If they hate Jews so much, why do they still have a small community of practicing Jews that live there? Why dont they murder them?
Im not suggesting AT ALL that they are good faith actors...but I am suggesting that we are getting a BIASED one side of the story based off what Israel wants us to believe

It means they are not going to have a fricking bomb, which they would not be close to having without your boy obama.

But then you voted for this

The Biden administration issued a sanctions waiver to allow the transfer of $6 billion in frozen Iranian oil revenues from South Korea to restricted accounts in Qatar.

It’s an Islamic state and one of the more repressive ones.
quote:
Political opposition is heavily curtailed. Activists, journalists, and dissidents face imprisonment, torture, or execution. The 2022 Mahsa Amini protests, sparked by her death in custody for violating hijab laws, led to over 500 deaths and 20,000 arrests
All over a woman not wearing a scarf.
quote:
Iran operates under a system of “Velayat-e Faqih” (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist), where the Supreme Leader (Ayatollah Ali Khamenei since 1989) holds ultimate authority over major state decisions, including foreign policy, military, and judiciary. The unelected Guardian Council vets candidates for elections, severely limiting political pluralism.
quote:
The 2022 Amini protests highlighted widespread resentment against these laws, but the regime doubled down, executing protesters and enacting harsher penalties (e.g., 2023 hijab law with up to 15 years imprisonment).
Nice people, just misunderstood.

Trump has been clear about Iran better not be "tapping us along". He figured they were, so now they are being forced to make a deal. Ain't that hard. Iranians arent to be trusted, so good move by Trump.

Okay, Hans Blix. Please don’t send another sternly worded letter.
Oh, and take a step to your left, Hans.
