Heard Toddy Shep say this on the news yesterday.

Is there a more emotional response? Don't logically try to address the problem. "Something, anything has to be done!"

Knee jerk response is what people like that want, and those are always wrong.

Sheps gay and has the emotions of a woman, like most gays.

It's completely emotional and not rational. Why don't they say "just do something" about the drunk driving deaths that happen every year? It's not as emotionally-charged as seeing an evil person gun down kids in a school.

This is a recipe for more violence.

I'm sure all of these knee jerk emotional leftists who have all of the answers will put a serious dent in Chicago's violent crime problem with their gun control initiatives. Especially since it's never been tried there...oh wait

and there's the problem. the proof is staring these idiots in their faces. The strict gun control laws in California didn't stop the violent attacks there either. You have to deal with the idiots.

I think most of us can agree that mental health is part of the problem but what can be done about mental health that will stop the next shooting? This will take a long time to implement the correct procedures and there will always be people who slip through the cracks.

I feel like you ppl are acting like if we go hard on fixing mental health now that these things will stop. No way in hell this is ever stopping. There will be ppl that show no real signs that they can be capable of shooting up a school. The Vegas shooter is probably a good example.

Ok I'll do something.

I'll talk to my kids about the Constitutional Amendment process so that they don't grow up spouting similar platitudes and embarrass the family name publicly like Sheppy McJizz.

Because it doesn't address why those kids were killed. Just how.

The how will change and the why will continue to be ignored.

You're assuming everyone is only screaming do something about guns. People are screaming about doing something that is aimed at stopping the killing, be it guns, interventions, mental health services, registers, interviews, etc. You want to always talk about guns when most people want to talk about ALL of the factors.

There is no absolute answer to why.

No, most people are only talking about guns...because it's the emotionally gratifying and easy answer.

I prefer a solution that doesn't involve shitting all over the Bill of Rights.
