I'm not.

I could care less if you step out on your wife and hook up with 100 hot women.

or zero.

I just don't want a bunch of your "moral" laws on the books preventing me from doing it.

Gay marriage is the same way.

Don't care if you dislike the thought of it...that's your issue.

Don't impose your issue on others.

I will excuse your ignorance if your were raised in a broken home, but I see the moral code of an earlier America as preferable to the idiocracy and depravity that this country is now.

Keep typing...you're getting worse and worse.

Wasn't raised in a broken home...so you can't check that box.

Nothing wrong with America of today. And I can assure you in the 50s people like you were complaining about the American then...all that evil rock and roll music...

gramps.

Add Wyoming to the list. That's 32 states now.

quote:

U.S. District Judge Scott W. Skavdahl struck down the state law banning gay marriage in Wyoming today, but he put his ruling on hold until 5 p.m. Thursday or until all defendants have filed notice that they will not appeal the order.

Gays can get married in every state in the U.S. Name one state that has a law that says a homosexual is prohibited from getting married. I've known several gays who got married in Louisiana.

You're so fricking daft sometimes.

You well know that a gay man in the state of Louisiana currently cannot marry another gay man...even if that's the person he loves.

Those were some smart people, they were too tolerant of their selfish children however. Sad.

Literally the EXACT same argument can be used (and was) for banning interracial marriages.

I'm not.
Sure you are. You do it all the time. You're doing it in this thread.

This is further proof of you imposing your will on others and exhibiting complete ignorance.

I don't care if every homosexual gets married. It doesn't affect me.

I just get tired of people like you constantly preaching your beliefs and wanting to FORCE others to adopt your standards.

Further evidence that you are talking out of your arse.

No where did I say you had to go out and marry another man.

You are inferring that. That would be me imposing my belief on you.

But a nice try...using failed argument number 22 why gays shouldn't be allowed to marry.

The very nature of law involves forcing certain ideas and beliefs on others. Murder is illegal because enough people believe it should be and thus that belief is forced upon the population. Whether or not you personally believe murder should be illegal is irrelevant.

Something I'm wondering is could the state of Louisiana actually have an impact on the federal level. I believe a couple years ago if not more recent the Supreme court said that Louisiana's Gay marriage ban wasn't unconstitutional because they argued that it comes down to state rights.

I think it is one of the few rulings that took into consideration states rights. Not saying that Gay marriage is unconstitutional or not, rather saying it is up to each individual state.

if someone can point me to this decisions that would be great.

the state should just ignore the ruling and continue on as they see fit. it's long past time to tell judges who substitute their beliefs for the will of the people thank you for you opinion, but go to hell.
