I will excuse your ignorance if your were raised in a broken home, but I see the moral code of an earlier America as preferable to the idiocracy and depravity that this country is now.

1. Is brokeback slang for two gay men? Sorry I am not up on the lingo. Why are you?
2. Nothing is forced in my face (pause).

What law does that? What right is it to marry?
Marriage is a fundamental and constitutionally protected right and has been so affirmed as just that by the Supreme Court of the United States 14 times in its history.
Yep.

I can honestly say this has never happened to me.
You don't watch MTV, the Grammys, etc.

Gays have a right to access to marriage, because some people are afforded access to it.
Gays can get married in every state in the U.S. Name one state that has a law that says a homosexual is prohibited from getting married. I've known several gays who got married in Louisiana.
Is it a right to drive a car since some people have that "privilege" and some people don't? What about home ownership?
My point is I get annoyed when people use the word "rights" so freely when they are incorrect in doing so.

I'm always conflicted over these rulings.
On the one hand, I believe that if the government insists on regulating marriage contracts than they have an obligation to allow all consenting adults to enter into such contracts with whomever they so choose.
On the other hand, I am not a fan of judges unilaterally discarding the will of the people. Now in this instance, the will of the people is largely driven by ignorance and superstition, but who is to say that it will stop there?

iDK. It's actually the first time I've used it in that context.

You proved my point. There is no law that says marriage is a right. Only in court decisions has marriage been referred to as a right. Thank you.

No. I just don't think of hot lesbians when the gay agenda is promoted like you apparently do.

Yea, instead you think of male butt sex. Which you also think about as you watch MTV and the Grammys. Hmmmm, interesting...

In your first example Maynard v Hill, the Supreme Court essentially ruled that the Legislature of Oregon had a right to grant a divorce (Back in the good ole days when you had to get the state legislature to grant you your divorce, and before these evil no fault divorce laws). The Federal Government had no role to play in such matters.

Oooh you got me all figured out...

No not really. Just because you think about male relations at weird times doesn't mean you're not a good person and/or poster. You're free to think about whatever you want
