As usual, don't count on legacy media to report accurately. The parties AGREED to a restriction:

Correct. Nothing burger here.

DOGE Teams are made up of four people: a Team Lead, an attorney, and two engineers. There is a DOGE Team in each agency of the federal government now by executive order.

This is for one department. DOJ likely cut the deal for optics, and gave the two engineers on this DOGE Team the access in question.

This deal/decision will likely be used as precedent for the use of the DOGE Teams in all the other agencies moving forward in the name of INFOSEC controls on access.

This sounds perfectly reasonable. I'm getting closer every day to being a burn it all down libertarian and I don't think the entire DOGE organization should have access and the ones who do should only have read access.

The order comes after the Justice Department on Wednesday agreed in a proposed court order to limit access to the sensitive records to only two "special government employees" within DOGE, who will have read-only permission.

That's all DOGE needs.

This is an audit. DOGE is not changing data. They are reading the data then reporting on their findings.

This judicial order seems silly. The judge has ordered DOGE to do what they were planning to do.

Those were already part of existing programs (like PSLF). Biden was just taking credit for it.

Yea, it was “breaking” on Fox when I posted it and only said DOGE was blocked and by the judge with a note on the bottom saying this was developing. Fox prolly shoulda waited for more information before posting it on their site lol

It's honestly fine with me. Let the leftists believe they "won."

Again, just ignore the judge.

To be fair, Biden was told by the Supreme Court that he couldn’t continue eliminating student loan debt. Yet, he kept doing it. This is just a lowly politicized District Court judge.

That's actually a reasonable compromise.

Two DOGE people with "READ ONLY" clearance is all we need.

I agree. That’s not the headline or article when I originally posted it. I believe 2 people with read-only access is plenty. They will sift and pull the data off for the others to then run algorithms against

They can also pull in federal Treasury employees to help too if task beyond DOGE are needed.

Anyway let the ladies on the View and MSNBC viewers have their big win.

This won’t slow down DOGE at all.

What is your opinion of the people who have had access the last 4 years? Or the last 40 years? What are their ages, qualifications, etc?

Why should there be ANY limitations on who the Executive hires to analyze data in the Executive Branch?

This is actually a win. We now have a federal judge's ruling that DOGE SGE's can have access to Treasury records. It can be used as a precedent for other agencies who may try to fight access.

Since when does that matter to Dem Federal Judges

They will keep filing until they get a judge on their side. Let’s face it, sooner or later, DOGE will have to be decided by SCOTUS…it will then be weaponized if Democrats ever control the Presidency again

They will create some BS, Justice advisory board and use DOGE as a precedent.
