If we can get Comey on something as minimal as tax evasion, it's worth it. This person is a monster. He's (along with Oregon Gov Kate Brown) likely responsible for the death of LeVoy Finicum, on the same level as what role Janet Reno had in the Waco Siege. Absolute tyranny, and if you can't buy into that, let's start with straight up MURDER!

the interim U.S. attorney, Lindsey Halligan, was not lawfully appointed to the role.
What is the background on this? Anyone care to share?

Karoline has jumped the shark:
"We believe not only that Lindsey Halligan is extremely qualified for this position...."
NO ONE believes that. It's not an insult to Halligan. As bad as she was with the Comey (putative) indictment, I think she did a good job with the James case. But having ZERO prosecution experience means she isn't REMOTELY qualified much less EXTREMELY qualified.

It always has been.
I'm often reminded of the movie Chicago. It isn't for everyone but I freaking love that movie. There are a lot of Billy Flynns out there.

Thanks.

So at this point does another prosecutor have to bring the appeal or can Halligan still stay on?
Posted on 11/24/25 at 3:35 pm to Ceazar
Was Jack Smith a lawfully appointed prosecutor?
Posted on 11/24/25 at 3:38 pm to TheBeezer
At this point, he is/was as lawfully appointed as Halligan.

No, and Bill knows it. He was accurate with his prediction. Which shouldn't surprise anyone. If there is any possible way for the courts to dismiss the case against Comey that's what they're going to do. My question is, why didn't Trump appoint someone lawfully? I can't believe he didn't know she wasn't eligible to serve. There's gotta be some ulterior motives at play here.

the prosecutor was unlawfully appointed.
If true, that's a fricking rookie move by the admin.
More likely this was filled on purpose, meant to fail.

That's a good question. My best guess is that she can be on the pleadings, but that they need other properly appointed/transferred Assistant US Attorneys to be involved.

This is next level hackery. You destroy any credibility you may have ever had with each post you make.

The last 11 presidents averaged only 6 nationwide injunctions each, almost all upheld by the Supreme Court. President Trump has faced 106, which is 63% more than the total number issued against all 11 of his predecessors combined. Nearly 90% of those have been overturned by the Supreme Court, proving that Democrat-appointed judges are using their benches as partisan weapons to obstruct the president and his agenda.
