Joy Reid has discovered the one demographic she believes the Trump administration is trying to victimize.

Young white men.

During Friday’s edition of The Joy Reid Show, the former MSNBC host attacked President Donald Trump over the escalating conflict with Iran and claimed his administration had stripped women, minorities and gay Americans out of the military’s identity.


Then she launched the rhetorical missile.

“Donald Trump is killing your sons,” Reid said, “after stripping the history of anybody Black, anybody that’s a woman, or anybody gay from the military, making it clear that he only wants to kill young white men.”

Reid did not stop there. “And every single young white man that signs up for the military—because that’s the only people they want—that man is going to send you to Iran,” she continued.

“This is going to escalate. There will be—probably—a ground invasion, and it’s your sons he’s trying to suck in. He’s gonna kill your sons and then not tell you how they died.”

That is quite a journey.


Reid began with a legitimate debate over war, casualties and government transparency. Within minutes, she had arrived at the claim that Trump is intentionally building an all-white, all-male military so he can send white boys to their deaths.
