Jew is an ethnicity
Sicilians have features that differ from Scots that differ from Germans who differ from Romani. These are all different ethnicities whose skin colors all fall within the range of roughly "white".

To claim it is all of these things is very convoluted. How can it be all of those things while also being just one of those things based on who or what it is describing?

I think some pushback against that line of thinking is reasonable and doesn't make someone a white nationalist or racist

Except one can be religiously jewish or ethnically jewish or both or neither. For example, Lenny Kravitz is half Jewish. He’s a product of a mixed race marriage, and his features show that as he has some Jewish features and some African American features.
Someone who converts in is religiously jewish, but not ethnically (converts are often treated like second-class citizens. There is no evangelist tradition in Judaism).
Ethnic Jews are the ones most people are referring to when they mention Jews. You can try to pretend that they’re not a distinct group of people with a shared ethnic, genealogical, and cultural history, but they absolutely are. Don’t tell me not to trust my lying eyes.
Besides, criticizing Jews then trying to deflect anti-semitism as a response by saying that Jews aren’t an ethnicity or race isn’t the argument you think it is. That’s tantamount to telling the traffic cop who pulled you over. I wasn’t speeding, officer! Speeding is the ticket given out when you’re less than 20 mph over the speed limit. I was going WAY faster than that! Therefore, it’s not the crime you’re saying it is!
With that said, pointing out Jews’ outsized role in media and finance industries is not something that I would call anti-semitism. That’s just factual, like pointing out that the majority of NBA players are African American or the majority of hockey players are wypipo.

This is a legitimate question and in no way an i trying to be a dick;
Isn't their "ethnicity" basically hundreds of years of inbreeding? That's why they all have that distinctive look, right? I'm really asking this in good faith. I thought Jews slowly migrated and settled in western and central Europe after running away from the Middle East. Wasn't their gene pool extremely limited at one point?
