Because Clark is a pretty big race baiter. I love how he reps LSU but there's really no debating his race baiting.
As for motivation to make the story up, there are countless reasons. Many have already been said.
None of that means he 100% made it up, but I'm definitely pressing pause on passing judgment until we hear her side.

It is more telling you seem so intent on dismissing Ryan's son was called the N word that you missed Ryan agrees with most of the posters in this thread. Walking up to cars in the drive through at 3am is stupid and could result in you being shot. Especially if you are two large black football players. Ryan was upset he did not do a good enough job explaining to his son even though he is a kid he is relatively large and black and more likely to be viewed as a threat

He’s literally crying like a bitch about it. If my son is 19 and calls me and says “dad some lady at a fast food restaurant called me some names and if upset me and the manager wouldn’t say he’s sorry for her and pay for our meals”

Ryan’s is to go on national tv and race bait by fabricating the story to seem like his son had a gun to his head while crying. This is a huge problem teaching an entire generation that they’re constantly victims.
Late night at bars in tiger land I had black dudes call me racial slurs too like cracker, whitey, honkey but I didn’t go throw a pity party because I’m a grown arse man.

You are projecting your own feelings about national events and experiences onto Ryan. The first thing he said was he was mad at his son and himself and not the young lady and that his son has been called the N word before. The kid has played high level football at majority white schools...you don't think he has been called the N word before?
The not valuing black lives comment was made when Ryan thought to himself his son could have been shot in this situation. Which he is absolutely right. Large men knocking on passenger windows in a drive through at 3am put themselves in danger of being shot. Large black men even more so because they are more likely to be viewed as a threat.
It would be hard to find a woman guilty for panicking and shooting in that situation regardless of the color of the men. Even harder if the men are black. I don't understand how anyone can disagree with this.

Anyway, I always just shaved my head. Senior year of college I bet my friends that if I would grow my hair out for a year they would all buy me a case of beer each. Free beer motivates me so I let the fro go.
Cut to eating lunch one day...white afro in full glory. Ryan Clark proceeds to stand on his chair, point me out and exclaim to the the whole Cafeteria - "Look at the white boy with the fro! You can't have that hair style. You white!"
Ironic a little bit, huh? How I managed to move on from such a terrible racist verbal attack on me by a privileged football player I'll never know.

It’s a shame, because it’s certainly possible Jordan is telling the truth, but something about this situation doesn’t pass the smell test. No one apparently heard the words except Jordan and his friends.
