Not a Rice dud but I can share that in my county there's a lot of distrust for Cornyn.

As there should be. He's a RINO POS.

Cornyn is far from perfect, but it is very much to Texas' benefit to have someone with his power and leadership connections representing us in the Senate. Senate GOP leadership knows that Paxton is a crook, and they will not trust him with any important committee assignments ... ever. Hunt will be just another freshman.

I can respect this perspective

RINO and a fox guarding the henhouse. Likely will be the same with Cassidy. Given the dynamics it will always be a dogfight from here on in.

You Texans have a truly based and brilliant young one in Brandon Gill. Hold onto that guy, because he could be President one day.

Paxton is the only one with brass to make things happen for America.

Hunt is probably trying to set himself up for the next Senate run against Cruz.

Gill looks good for that run too, but his FIL Dinesh can be a positive or a negative. Time will tell.

It is a great thing.

Now, we need for the AK man, Brandon Herrera to defeat Tony Gonzales, and to flush out the Bush "republicans" from the state offices.

In addition, I hope those 5 new Republican district seats get true fire brand conservatives.

What connections? The ones that continue to send jobs overseas and not vote for America First Legislation?

frick Cornyn, he's a symptom of the greater problem we see now, and this line of thinking is the reason why Congress is the way it is now.

Not a Texas resident but I’ve been following Hunt on social media. Very impressed by what I’ve seen. Apache pilot too.

That makes perfect sense to me. I just wish that South Carolina voters could figure out Lindsey Graham the way Texans have figured out Cornyn.

I dumped Cornyn when the Tea party booed him off the stage in Austin trying to pretend he was one of them. Someone in that crowd let him know that he was the problem they were rallying to correct and that his TARP vote was as beltway rino as one could get. He's always been pro illegal and in secret ballot would vote to impeach in a heartbeat. I expect him to be primaried and will then be a sweetheart never Trump voice on the leftist networks.

If my area of small town Texas is a reflection of the overall state then I certainly believe it. I will be casting my vote for Wesley Hunt. I don't know a person in my community that is voting for Cornyn.

Hunt's not going to try to party primary an incumbent Ted Cruz.
