That's not really the case. Back then when you graduated buds you had the choice of going on a seal team or a udt team. He chose a udt team because his brother was on a udt team. He was in the Philippines and volunteered to go on a mission with seal team 1 and that's where his vietnam service medal comes from.
As a reservist he was assigned to seal team 1. He also graduated jump school at Benning.
That being said the man is a froot loop

Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, a decorated Navy SEAL veteran, has called on Barron Trump to join the military.
“Do something your father didn’t have the patriotism to do,” Ventura, 74, said Tuesday on Piers Morgan Uncensored.
Why would Barron do that?
At 17 years old, he was already doing things that TDS Ventura could NEVER do, such slaying world-class college coeds like he was Joey Freshwater.
I remember when it was off limits to go after Presidents' kids. We weren't allowed to even speak of Chelsea or the Obama girls. But that was (D)ifferent and it all flipped when Trump first won office.
So now Ventura gets to make a big stink about something Barron doesn't need to do. Funny, but I cannot recall him mentioning anything about the Ashley diary, or the fact that Biden's crackhead dishonorable-discharge crackhead son was banging his dead son's widow.
Look, I respect the service of every soldier and veteran, even Ventura and Dan Crenshaw. But these veterans don't do themselves any favor by flaunting their service, developing TDS or actively fleecing the American taxpayer. Ventura's Minnesota has been steadily becoming a third-world nation since the 1980s and he helped that, so it's probably wise for him to sit down and shut up.

Hunter Biden is a vet as well.
Not really.
The nature and cause of his discharge prevents him from officially being considered a veteran.

Correct he is ineligible to serve in the military due to his height.

Anyone who is able to send others children to war should have to send their own. No skin in the game. Lobbyists, politicians, etc.

Yeah make him enlist like those two British royalty assholes and send him on a media tour in uniform. Great idea.
If he decides to serve then it’s his business. Obama’s daughters haven’t served and he stirred up shite around the globe via military force.
Ventura is a loud mouthed retard.

Honorable Discharge
General Discharge (Under Honorable Conditions)
Other Than Honorable
My bet is Joe got him one of the top two.

I have a better idea.
Mandatory service.
3 year minimum.
That would end a lot of nonsense in this country.

Let’s apply that rule to everything.
If you don’t volunteer for policing or fire department, you can’t use the service.
If you don’t pay property taxes, you can’t vote on tax issues.
I’m sure there are many more examples.

Jesse's been hit in the head a few too many times. If we had a draft going, that argument would make more sense.

It’s an all VOLUNTEER army! They literally walked into a recruitment office at some point and time and ASKED to join the armed forces of the United States. Getting shipped overseas and into hostile environments is what they signed up for. Please spare me this self righteous indignation of a President sending anyone’s sons and daughters anywhere. Barron fricking Trump and the hundreds of children of congressmen and senators have the same choice as anyone else as to whether they want to join the military or not.

He is too tall for military service and the last son of a sitting President to serve I believe was Ike's son in Korea.
If the military gave Barron a height waiver - then the left would bitch the high heavens that he was given special treatment.

It’s really dependent upon whether he’s eligible for any kind of veterans benefits or not.
If not, then no. He’s not a veteran.
