Chief Shannon Nobles announced the arrest of 20-year-old Jesler Jairo Perez from Guatemala for three counts of voyeurism. D’Iberville Police officers responded to a complaint of an individual in the female restroom in the Walmart on Sangani Boulevard at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. When officers got there, they spoke with a parent who said her daughter and two other girls went to the restroom and while they were in a stall, they first saw what appeared to be male feet in the stall next to them.
One then observed the male looking under the stall he was in into theirs.
The girls ran out of the bathroom to tell her, then she went into the restroom and opened the stall to find a Hispanic male in the process of securing his pants.
A patron of the store heard the commotion coming from the restroom and upon checking, he was told of the incident by the parent. He then detained the individual, later identified as Perez, and held him until law enforcement arrived.

Is it against the law for a woman to be in the women's rest room? Where else would they go?

I don't support his actions, but he's a young one.
There's nothing that early intervention can't remedy. But think about it: nowhere in the world is such conduct acceptable-- not in Guatemala and certainly not, in the Estados Unidos. But he's not too far gone to attempt to reform.
