Mark this down - there will NEVER be another major land operation involving large formations of U.S. troops. NEVER.
It is too politically costly and the (corruption) juice isn't worth the (political cost) squeeze.
They shot their wad in Iraq and Afghanistan. The establishment's last gasp was the WWII-scale money grab that was COVID (to be fair, a bipartisan money grab at that).
