I'm pumped. A real conservative, not a typical Louisiana rino.

Let's ride.

You not concerned about all the money he took from Morris, Gordon, Spencer, and their colleagues and the deal it implies was made for them?

Whatever the plaintiff bar is angling for -- it's nothing a super majority veto override can't fix.

Again, I'm pumped.

At this point, a non-democrat is a win.

JL is the biggest crook in the state.

Louisiana people: Oh we hate JBE, he’s crooked

Also Louisiana People: Let’s vote in an even more crooked SOB, he’s got badass 2A billboards on I10, he’s so tough.

Morons.

You'd think we'd have learned our lesson last time with Jon Bel, but no... there are still people who want to play petty bullshite politics in this state.

Folks need to wake up and realize, we need to put R's in every office we can. Edwards ran this state like a Blue state, despite there being a Republican supermajority in the legislature. I don't really care which one it is, but we need to settle on one guy and vote him in.
I'm glad that was done today.

You think Landry wins because of Trump?

Let’s go to the score board of candidates endorsed by Trump

Whens the last time a LA. gov won without a runoff?

Idiot repubs helped JBE get elected twice. I guess they finally realized how big of an eff-up they had become

BTW, Trump endorsees win 91% of the time in open seat races

4 years from now, we will be in the exact same place we are right now except fewer property insurance companies to choose from. Then Jeff will be reelected and 8 years from now, we'll be in the exact same spot except there will be even fewer property insurance as well as car insurance or health insurers to choose from.

However there WILL be more Gordon/Spencer/DudleyDebosier ads on interstate billboards, busses, backs of stop signs, painted on the literal streets, etc.

But don't worry. We'll still be 49th. I'm sure Mississippi will still be 50th.

Exactly we had a chance to put a pro business/pro worker guy in office instead we put in another pro lawyer guy.

Best hope at his point is his donors. They might insist on reform.

I've posted on this board before: outlaw the environmental legacy lawsuits as prescribed, which they are. And put auto accident litigation into a review panel type of clearing house like med mal, or put it into a specialized non-jury system like workers comp. That would legislatively end the billboard culture and problems caused in this state by plaintiff lawyers.

I should be governor. But in the meantime the new one is much better than the current one.

Nailed it. Landry will be Jindal 2.0 , drumming up constant negative National press being on the radical end of social issues , in an attempt to make a name for himself on the National stage and then fail his presidential bid. I’ve seen this episode before. Oil and gas will line the pockets of a few big wigs , then rest of the state will continue to limp , while Landry goes to bat to get trans youth out of travel ball and kicks the hard decisions down the road for someone else to deal with.
Hopefully I’m wrong.

There are some delusional people in these Jeff Landry threads. Wags this, Schroeder that, Lundy this, Wilson that.

I’ll take this moment to provide some clarity and reality to you little men. You are out of touch and do not represent the majority of Louisianans that have spoken tonight. Furthermore, you no longer have an opportunity to claim that you know a damn thing about our new governor. Oh, I know you’ll complain. It’s what you do best. No one cares about your opinion. Your delusional. None of your candidates even sniffed double digits with the exception of Wilson who didn’t even clear the first hurdle.

You all represent what’s been wrong with this state. So enjoy your sour grapes and don’t come begging for any sugar because all you’re going to get is sugarcane.

PS: Your tears taste delicious. I’ll enjoy them over the next few days.
