he said this about democrat leaders who chose to not have kids.
He’s not talking about you.

Yes.
They could certainly still care deeply about the future of humanity.

When is the last time we had a childless candidate on the Presidential ballot?
There's a better way to convey the message, but there is evidence that this argument actually gained traction in Europe where at one point many leaders within the EU and heads of individual countries were childless and attacks that they "had no skin in the game" started moving the needle away from the far left nonsense.
Being a parent effects everything in your life and you approach things from a different perspective. Life is no longer a game but rather a fulcrum that impacts the one thing you love more than anything else.
And frankly, even if it invites the obvious criticism and blowback, politicians and influential people need to start telling women that second wave feminism was a crock to designed to double the labor supply, suppress wages and maximize stakeholder profits at the expense of the personal fulfillment that a stable nuclear family provides. Oh, and all the talk about how you can delay marriage and childbirth until after you've lived your dreams and conquered your goals? Yeah, biology and mother nature don't give too sh*ts about your feelings.

It doesn’t really matter. Difficulty conceiving is emotionally traumatic for women who actually want a child, and Vance’s comments come off as a man who doesn’t understand.

I don't think that's accurate.
That’s fine, cnn is lying then. It doesn’t change the fact he was talking about democrats who were poised to lead in 2024 on.

“It’s just a basic fact — you look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC — the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children,” Vance told Tucker Carlson in a July 2021 interview.

The gotcha is that Kamala has 2 stepchildren, it is insensitive to women, Aniston has made this a big thing, and they have added to this gotcha that JD Vance would be against IVF.

Brad Pitt had a damn good reason to leave that psycho. Enough said. Even that puh-say wasn't worth hanging around for.

First, I agree, and so does JD Vance (that humans without children still have worth and stake in America).
Second, you can't really disconnect traditionalism and conservatism from having children, as they go hand in hand. That doesn't mean the childless aren't going to be welcomed or valued, but they should obviously come in celebrating (at least in theory) the concept of the family.
Third, anyone reasonable should recognize the dangers of a society run by people with less stake in the future than those who came before them.
The truth is this: Traditionalists view the family as the fundamental building block of American society and culture - not the individual. That's going to be a major crux of this GOPe/MAGA/libertarian/conservative debate moving forward.

No kids - so i guess he had no stake in the country?

My biggest issue with Vance isn’t this stance.
It’s his ties to billionaires.
I just wish people would be concerned about the shite you should be concerned about, not that he factually said Kamala doesn’t have children of her own.

I bet she has no problem telling men they can’t have an opinion on abortion since they can’t have a baby

Did he not have children or did they die young?
Martha had two children from a previous marriage.

This is plain stupidity that was taken out of context ,but it stands. JD is silent on his abortion stance. It most likely is for the 6 wk ban.
Tulsi or Elise in re-do please.

I'm not telling people to make this a major objection about Kamala, but I definitely think it's a consideration for...anything.
Electing not to participate in perhaps the quintessential human experience, especially as a woman, undoubtedly changes your points of reference, indicates things about you as a person, etc. Maybe not all bad, who knows, but there are some who will claim that's some personal decision that shouldn't be something the public thinks about - I find that absurd.

You might have been right. The story I read that was bouncing around was from the speech to the ISI. Where he qualified his statement to make sure that people knew he wasn't referring to people who are unable to have children.
