Because your enemies have zero problem with killing you let alone watching. Stop being a pussy. You’re not watching “someone” die. You’re watching a demented Islamic monster that killed over a dozen of your country’s soldiers in an act of complete cowardice and malice. Harden up sweetheart.

So you hate them because they are savages yet you want us to be just like them. Got it. That is a realy dumb way of telling us you are a simpleton.

Has anyone tried to ask the Islamic fundamentalists nicely to stop all the killing and chopping? Surely so. But if not, a couple of you need to stop by down there in Middle East and give it a shot.

They stopped making them public because they turned into giant parties. 20,000 at the last one.

I’m not planning on watching it either.
But it should be televised.

I’m sure someone in the MSM will make false allegations about it, and I’ll have to watch it myself to learn the truth and counter leftist propaganda.

Is executing a 13X murderer morally wrong?

Since when is justice in America contingent upon what another nation or sect thinks?

They're friends. He was at the White House today to hand deliver a pardon request from Diddy.

Trump said no.

Vance described the actions by former US Army major Nidal Hasan as "the worst terrorist attack on American soil outside of 9/11".

If JD doesn't have the stomach to watch the worst terrorist attacker on American soil outside of 9/11, if this quote is correct, to face justice according to AR 190-55, then I do not have the stomach to vote for JD Vance for President.

I’m not a huge vance fan but if he doesn’t want to watch that’s his choice. I don’t think it needs to be a big story of him not wanting to. I will probably watch though

Doesn't bother me he doesn't want to watch. At least he's not calling for it to be abandoned. I'll be watching like a MFer though, with popcorn and beer.

Stephen Colbert is too damaging to be on the air but we can show firing squads? The insanity just doesn't stop.

ISIS and Iran would be proud of our public executions. Maybe this common ground will bring Iran back to the table...

If we could just switch out a mass- murderer for an innocent woman, the bullets for stones, and the rifle team for an angry mob, then you'd be on to something.

NO issue with the firing squad, he deserves it, but why give the prick (and those like him) the satisfaction of publicizing it live to the world like extreme jhaddis would and further their cause?
That's where I am. I've got no problem with Hasan facing a firing squad. My problem is turning his execution into exactly what he wants: a public spectacle of his martyrdom.

For years we've argued against giving mass shooters the fame and notoriety they crave. That logic goes double for jihadists who actively seek martyrdom. Hasan himself said he wished he'd died in the attack and would consider his execution martyrdom.

That's the fundamental flaw in the deterrence argument. How do you deter someone with a punishment they consider a reward? For extremists who aspire to martyrdom, death isn't a consequence they fear. It's the glorious ending they're actually hoping for.

Look how much publicity merely announcing this possibility has generated. Now imagine how enticing that prospect is to a jihadist obsessed with martyrdom. Commit an atrocity, potentially have the President of the United States discussing you by name, and ultimately have your execution livestreamed for the entire world to witness. For someone who already considers dying for his cause the ultimate honor, that's not much of a deterrent.

I prefer the bin Laden approach. Kill the son of a bitch and toss his body in the ocean.

I'm an Army veteran, and the Fort Hood attack pissed me off on a deeply personal level. I absolutely understand the psychological appeal of revenge and the satisfaction of seeing this bastard get what he deserves. But when dealing with terrorism, we have to be pragmatic rather than emotional. The goal isn't simply to satisfy our desire for retribution. It's to prevent the next attack. And that means resisting the temptation to do something emotionally gratifying today that could potentially inspire another atrocity tomorrow.

That's because you're looking at this rationally and not emotionally
