"Louisiana’s modeling data show the state on course to require 2,500 new hospitalizations a day in the New Orleans area by mid-May, if the public does not adhere to COVID-19 mitigation measures like Gov. Edwards’ Stay at Home order.

There are increasing efforts across the country to understand the impact of social distancing, school closures, stay at home orders and other mitigation measures as we strive to flatten the curve and slow the spread of this virus. What we are seeing is that many Louisianans are taking this seriously. Unfortunately, there are still others who are not, and perhaps it is because we have not fully impressed upon all of our citizens the serious consequences of not staying at home. #lagov"

There is a graph specific to Area 1 that shows mid May as the peak if "effective social distancing" is done and MID JULY if there is a "STRICT SHELTER IN PLACE".

Y'all. That's a lonnnnggggg time. I think that we'll all collectively lose our minds among other things by that time if they change the stay at home order much past April 30.

April 30th is as far as it should go. Anything past that isn’t worth the trouble

That’s already to far but that’s what he set it at and it won’t be cut short

He also said we would be out of hospital space last week and then this week and now it’s mid may. Models are models, all have drastically overstated the rate of infection and more importantly the number of deaths. Remember we were supposed to be Italy!!

Well one thing is for sure, C...it won't be like Hillary's emails...we'll find out pretty quick. There is a lot of obese people and diabetes down there, cause the cooking is good. Could be trouble for those folk.

If I were JBE I'd be passing out Hydroxychloriquine by barrel. Otherwise, this won't look good on the resume...regardless of fault.

I told my husband he'd better hit his PA friend up for meds because if he thinks I'm stir crazy now, just wait until the end of April and whats his name extends this.

I get that it's serious ... I get that people are dying ... I don't want my parents to be harmed ... I work in a nursing home and don't want my little people to die ... but DAMN this is insane.

Now the shut down it till the end of April. Once a couple other Democrap governors say the end of May JBE will do the same.

Democraps are quick to fall in line.

And to be fair republicans will cave to the will of the Dems 99% of the time.

100% agree. I’ve said from day one Of the shutdown, the shut down will cause more damage to the country than the virus would.

You can’t trust models. Like someone else in the thread was saying, we will be out of respirators in New Orleans by Sunday I think and then out of beds by April 12. He said that early this week. I want to see how it pans out. This is just fear mongering to keep the good little sheep in line.
