He could've introduced anybody from Mamdami to AOC to Kamala to Obama to Hillary, and nobody would've said a damn thing.

What a complete joke the Trump haters are, and most of them are too stupid to see what the real battle in this country is all about.

What he should tell his teammates who are whining about what he did is part of being a grownup is realizing not everything is going to go your way and maybe they aren't there yet. Especially seeing they're acting like children

Poor guy! His body language screams discomfort, pressure to conform, wish to be anywhere else but where he was (despite his words). If that's supposed to be an 'apology' of some kind, it's the most drawn out litany I've heard in a long time, with tons of things to be read between the lines.

1. He will regret this sign of weakness and inability to stand up for his beliefs/values/roots.

2. If he were black he would not have had to explain any of his behavior or acts, including any that were insulting to the country, POTUS, whites, etc.

3. His value as a player has been lowered by his lack of standing his ground. He will not always play for that team, and he will not always play football. He will have some explaining to do post football.

It's a shame that he let the media pressure him so much!

Makes me wonder how long harbaugh will last there before being called racist, etc.

Yeah, I didn't hear an apology, either.

It pisses me off that he was forced to do this, though. He could've introduced the Islamist extremist and Marxist Mamdani, and nobody would've said a damn thing.

PS - I'm glad that his coach is pro-Trump. He will have Jackson's back if JD catches any heat at all from anybody in the Giants organization.

Then they leave you hanging at critical times on the field, you end up looking like you suck balls as an NFL qb, contract not renewed, wife leaves you, die a broke, broken former NFL player who ironically could’ve blossomed into a quality pro quarterback.

I’m mostly being silly with that, but there is a tinge of seriousness to it. Also, it would seem to me that there are a handful of other reasons underlying this public apology, most of which IMO I would find legit, if I’m in his shoes.

Kind of a weird ramble. He shouldn’t have even addressed it.

Team ownership probably mandated it.

Didn’t sound like an apology to me and I hope that’s the last time he says anything about it. He has a right to his political ideals just like the wack jobs on the left do.

It was an uncomfortable squirming and that's pretty close to an apology.

He should have said nope. Surely there are plenty of teams out there in need of a good quarterback. I don't follow the NFL, I assume he's good. Regardless, firmly standing for your principles will always trump (ha!) woke politics, always.

You mean the people who pay him? I bet they could seek to nullify his contract for cause, and as silly as we all think that possibility would be, think of what kind of judges would be deciding the matter if and when Dart sought relief in the court system. Probably wouldn’t quite go his way.

Hmmm, how exactly does he plan to do that, injure his own QB?!?! Sounds like a racist threat to me.

His name is Abdul and he's muslim. That largely explains everything we need to know.

pretty ironic that the party of love/peace/acceptance/unity is always making someone apologize for something they don't agree with.

as has been said many times before and in this thread, frick an apology.

What a world we live in. Have to issue a statement regarding supporting the President of the United States.

Had the President been Obama and he didn’t go to the White House, he’d have to issue an apology for that. The left is loco.

I don’t get it - it’s time for Trump supporters - the majority of the country - to stand up and say Trump is awesome and a great man and person - if you think he’s Hitler then you are mentally ill and need to grow the frick up.
