floodgates remain open
Jaw-dropping number of migrants arrive in San Diego in a single week as officials reveal 7,000 illegally crossed - as photos show them sleeping in airport bathroom
6,997 migrants from 70 countries arrested by US Border Patrol in San Diego sector
The area saw more apprehensions than anywhere else in the nation last week
Some went to the airport to sleep in bathrooms in lieu of any migrant shelter
San Diego saw a staggering 6,997 migrant encounters in just seven days at the start of April in an alarming indicator of the worsening border crisis, DailyMail.com can reveal.
The number is around the same as other sectors normally see in an entire month, and only reflects those who were caught - meaning the true scale is likely higher.
'Unfortunately, I'm not surprised,' San Diego County Commissioner Jim Desmond told DailyMail.com Thursday.
'Texas is clamping down and other areas are clamping down.
'Here in California, they're allowed to walk in unimpeded. They're going to follow the path of least resistance, and the least resistance is in California.'

No one is being arrested
No one is being apprehended
These federal employees are turnstiles at $125,000 each per year

Ruining the last great American city in California. So fricking depressing.

That $30B budget deficit of Cali's just got a bit bigger because you know Gavin is going to try to force taxpayers to fund "clothing, housing and feeding" them (quotes because it's all just money laundering to "homeless advocacy" NGOs who then push the money on through to support progressive politicians).

7K isn't jaw dropping, it's the 17K that waltzed in undetected and unmolested that aren't being reported.

Nothing Joe can do about it either. He's only president of the United States. His hands are tied.

They weren't invited by the People.
But they were mostly certainly invited by government policy.

Maybe, but it's still a 'feel good' story of the day... with the exception we are all going to end up paying for these illegal aliens as San Diego requests their share of the federal teat, like New York and Chicago before them.
Before long, even Hyatt, Marriot, Fountain Bleu and Best Western will be upset when this scam ends.

These statements seem contradictory.

I can't believe this is happening.
San Diego, in particular, used to be a great American city. It started to go down back in 1995 when a less-than-gruntled army veteran stole a tank and commandeered it through residential streets, causing millions of $$$ of damage. And, today it's a sh*tehole. No decency there at all.
