I could see them running out of potable water in a severe fire event but they have an ocean right there and fire pumps could be used if they had pumps. Seems like having a levee in LA would be akin to having extreme fire fighting equipment in this situation.

Been watching local FOX for fire stuff and every PC, no matter where has been a DEI love fest. Apparently there isn't one white guy in all of LA when it comes to police and fire. Amazing.

There is a clip from Adam Carolla makes the rounds today bc of the fires. Long story short, Adam applied to be a LA firefighter right out of HS. They thanked him and let him know that they would put his name on the list but unless you were a minority or a woman your application would be delayed. He then went on to say that he received a call to take the fire fighter exam 7 yrs later. When he went there was a woman there to take the test with him. Adam asked her when she applied. Her response was “Wednesday”.
