I feel like the dems run these guys out there to see how close they are to making Texas purple. These are sacrificial candidates that basically test rhe market. Once Beto was burnt they had him go out there and say they were coming after their guns.

It was republicans in Texas legislature who impeached Paxton. It was Paxton’s own aides who blew the whistle to the FBI about his bribery and other offenses.
So if corruption is an actual concern, then you will have to reconcile with the fact that Paxton embodies it.
