Isn't there an avenue for the SCOTUS to intervene pre-trial in some of this nonsense?

The reason this is taking so long is specifically because he's trying to get to the Supreme Court. So yes but it takes time

Lets try this again.

I'm sure his lawyers would argue, with full utility, that they are being forced into this alleged strategy because their client is being shamefully overcharged.

People are routinely held for years in pretrial detention. Do these J6 people deserve special treatment because they like Trump? It’s shite for everyone but it’s telling that you started caring when it’s people on “your team” that are being mistreated.
Please go read the entire OP article.

This J6th prisoner was mistreated throughout the jails in various places/States.

This is the 'everyone gets mistreated in jail' mantra you are repeating because a few others ignorant to the story did so.

It was in the gulag AKA the DC prison where he was stripped naked, laughed at and thrown in solitary.

Thrown in solitary for what? The guards taunting him in DC are political. They despise Trump and MAGA. Imagine someone despising making America great...

As far as the he is taking it to the Supreme Court-so no bail argument. Why can't he be released on house arrest until such trial?

Solitary confinement prison is way over the top harsh for what he is accused of doing, no?

It is ironic your argument of prison is bad is very weak. As Trump was the only President I can think of that did prison reform.

You know I was wondering the same thing about your secret knowledge of how many assets the Feds ACTUALLY have at their disposal at any given moment.

According to Wiki, which I despise but that was the only source I looked at; there were only 34 prisoners held at Gitmo as of March 2023. It has a capacity of over 700 so it could potentially hold all the miscreants in our crooked as a dog's hind leg gov't. There are only a handful or so of CONgress critters who are worth a damn.

That includes all the guards who were abusing all the J6 prisoners.

And the Biden crime family, Obama, and their cabinet members.

I have no answers
Before you get so emotional, why don't you read and see that he and his leg team have purposely delayed his trial date in order that he might have an issue heard by the Supreme Court.

It’s less about the delayed trial date and more about the treatment outlined in that article.

The mere idea that this was in anyway an insurrection is still a fckn leftist wet dream.

It’s ALL political persecution in the land of the free and home of the brave.

Do you know of instances when defendants would rather stay in detention than go to trial?
Yes. It's a strategy. Your link mentions it. And my previous "come on" was because the defendant and lawyer are the ones refusing to file for a speedy trial. You said just the defense counsel.

You know who used to do stuff like this?

That’s right. The Nazis. Roland Freisler and his People’s Court.

Read William Shirer’s account of Field Marshal von Witzleben’s trial in the aftermath of the July 20, 1944 attempt on Hitler’s life, in “Rise and Fall of the Third Reich”. von Witzleben was given pants several sizes too big and no belt to hold them up, so he had to keep grasping at them to keep them from falling…at which Freisler badgered him mercilessly. In addition, they took his dentures to make him look even more pathetic.

Lets just get one thing straight.

If a clearly politicized FED takes the approach to charge you with a crime you didnt commit, or overcharge the shite out of you, then vow to put you before a hostile judge in a hostile venue, and you ask your attorneys to fight that rather than willingly walk into a meat grinder (all while being beaten and mistreated in holding) its YOUR MF'ing fault.

OK. But, I'm not going to take his word for it and believe everything he said. He has a motive to get you and others riled up. It's the Epoch Times, as biased as the NYT. Rush Limbaugh once said when he read the papers he thought to himself, "Interesting, I wonder if that's true."

I'm a fed now? I used to be a nursing home owner per others. I could be a sno-ball stand employee and see you need therapy.
