When my buddy's second son was born, we went to visit. They brought the baby up to his Mom's room, but they brought up a girl.
My buddy quickly set them straight, and the error corrected.

How can this happen nowadays? The wristband has a bar code scan and you have to state your name and birthdate every time they want to push an IV drug or give you a food tray.

Mom and baby's wristband must match.

I guess lazy people are always everywhere.

I can't even start to imagine how this could happen other than plain old negligence. Probably came down to someone staring at social media on their phone instead of focusing on their job.

IVF is a selfish act, to please someone's desire, bypassing nature and committing multiple sins on the process, very often in the destruction of life along the way.

What the frick are you talking about. You think someone who spends 10s of thousands on IVF and actually wants a child is worse than some 17 year getting knocked up by some random guy and then the child having to live on welfare their whole life and then continuing the cycle when they turn 17?

my son’s wristband popped off every 2 seconds.

baby hands and feet are flexible and they don’t want to put them on too tight

that being said, I could recognize by own baby pretty quickly.

She could not keep the baby, it was not hers.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the baby was in fact hers. The embryo might not have been genetically hers but without her body and lifeblood sustaining it, that child does not exist. In fact I’d say she has as much claim to the child if not more than the biological parents.

Well you would be wrong. She was effectively a surrogate which is why she could not keep the baby.

Allowing a couple to have a child of their own that is theirs is destroying lives?

Top tier retard take.

The IVF debate hasn't really hit the mainstream yet, because IVF is so new. I would venture that at least 75% of people have never even contemplated the bioethics and moral issues surrounding IVF, and I can easily see how for most people IVF "seems" like a good idea when just looking at it surface level.

Just from this thread, I can see Manu people coming in that don't even understand there is a debate surrounding IVF and what each side of the debate are saying.

You have a very basic, shallow understanding of what IVF is. I get how for most people, with an explanation like you provided, it might seem like a good idea. We used to have a strong Church that could do the moral math on these issues, and would have the guts to tell the faithful what was and what was not good. The modern Church (Catholic and Protestant) is completely absent on all.of these issues.
