So when gas goes down, it’s presidential genius. When it goes up, it’s global markets, refineries, seasonal blends, and geopolitics?
Interesting how causation suddenly changes uniforms depending on who’s in office.

Interesting.
Are you another SFP alter
Is it a commom thing for people, who go against this board's echo chamber, to be called an alter?
This is 2nd time in as many weeks that someone has claimed me to be an alter.
Kudos to you. At least you named who you believe I am and didn't keep me in suspense like the last dude.
To answer your question;
Stop being stupid. Asking that was stupid. Stop it.

SO because Biden had high gas prices, we should celebrate Trump having them as well?
No.
Here’s the psychology
Biden high gas prices NOT good
Trump high gas prices NOT bad and Muh Biden

Yes. It’s a defense mechanism. Make it about the person instead of the issue. Then the “others” pile on in support of the defense mechanism. It’s easier than talking about policy or facts.
Think of clapping seals as the end result.

How so? Explain. Be specific.
You were one of the ones near the beginning of the thread giving the doe-eyed "Who me?" responses to the poster who correctly pointed out that "working from home" is bullshite.
"What? Why whatever would you say that for? Working from home? Why not, pray tell?"
After having to explain that obvious truth to you I was riffing on it and answering your a-hole statement (which was really a question) on, "I don't know how you people make it with no better reading comprehension than that."
Now, I could have just told the truth and said, "Yeah, I missed that this morning. But since I don't really care a giant amount what someone posts on this forum and since I'm retired and usually doing several things at once and skimmed it incorrectly, that's not any kind of referendum on my reading comprehension when I'm actually paying attention. But hey, if it makes you feel superior, that's fine. That's what this board is all about, after all."
Instead, I gave you too much credit and thought I could insert a joke based on an earlier exchange in the conversation. So I answered that "we" don't have to comply with any rigorous standards. We're part of the workforce who "works from home." So I'm reading stuff while surfing the net, watching reruns of I Love Lucy, drinking a beer, and walking on the treadmill in my underwear. And, oh yeah, occasionally checking my work email. Every once in a while.
So it's easy to miss stuff when "working from home."
Now, that was intended to be a joke, but your reading comprehension was too poor for it to be. The fact that I literally had to lay that out for you step by step like that means that you really have no basis to criticize anyone else's ability to comprehend what they read.
It's one thing to skim a statement and miss it. It's another to have had the amount of attention focused on something over multiple posts and still not get it.

You’re talking about a different thread, and then criticize me for not understanding what you’re talking about.
I’m not bothering with the rest of your verbal diarrhea.

I don't know. What difference would it make if it was or wasn't to the question I asked you?
quote:
This is 2nd time in as many weeks that someone has claimed me to be an alter.
For SFP? You say he "kept you in suspense," so did he ever tell you who he thought you might be?
quote:
At least you named who you believe I am
I didn't say anything about believing you were anybody (the reading comprehension critics are dying like flies around here). I asked you if you were.
And I did so because you combined two things that are kind of signature responses for SFP. The very specific, "Holy shite" appeal to ridicule he routinely makes instead of addressing the actual argument, and the fact that every time it comes up on the board, he staunchly defends "working" from home.
Now that could, of course, be a coincidence. You might have even picked up on his "Holy shite" deflection by watching him do it.
Thus the question. And of course, I wouldn't expect him to admit it if it was true, but watching the response can be instructive. If you're too defensive, for example...and you're being pretty defensive.

Asking that was stupid.
No, I don't think it was. Pattern recognition is a major element of intelligence.

That's a fact. He didn't state that they were higher than all time highs during Biden. Do you need someone to print out a fricking calendar for you or something?

and yet my only response to him was directed at "the entire thread is cope" by stating the "fact" that his entire existence appears to be cope.
While your entire existence on the other hand is barely worth recognition.

You're only able to apply information in dedicated threads?

Ah, yeah. We're not talking about a different thread that happened last week or last month. We're talking about a conversation that happened 20 minutes ago.
Yes, you should be able to apply it in context.

Were you or were you not the one who asked me to explain in detail? Now you're complaining because I did what you asked. You are quite some a-hole.

SFP's posts are way too long for me to read. I skim past them so I would never recognize a pattern.
Also, I do not know or care enough about anyone here to even see who I am responding to or who is responding to me. Such as you, I have no idea about your patterns. I have no idea if we even conversed before, outside of this thread. It is not important enough for me to track or remember.
I do however see that you did not pick up on the pattern of this board using "they were higher under Biden" every time recent gas prices are brought up.
I would never insult one's intelligence for not picking up on that. I reserve that for those who ask dumb questions.

I don’t really care ll that much about what you or anyone else thinks about working from home. If you have a bullshite job, I suppose it’s bullshite whether or not you’re doing it at home or commuting in to the office.

Now that you mention it, Fox 8 in NOLA did a little gas price update every morning for the last few weeks. Come to think of it I don't think I've seen one of those updates at all this week.
