Then we have no beef.

This is kind of a "no shite," thing, though. We all know what the rioters/looters are "reacting to.

I'm condemning said actions. And your sentence about the cop killing an unarmed black man (and leaving it like that) is poppycock.

This thread is a disaster. But clearly has gotten the desired result from race baiting.

One of these words is untrue, the other two are the truth. Care to guess which is which?

:sigh:

It was in direct response to a specific statement in another post. It was not intended to be the definitive description of the event.

My wife nixed by trip to College Station for the LSU v A&M game because her mother wanted to come in for T'giving.

On Tuesday, said mother called and was "feeling poorly" and decided not to come.

Almost had some 'black on black' crime

That is a perfectly reasonable conclusion given my observations as well.

What the hell is with this ghetto trend of putting "arse" before nouns?

Holy shite you are wrong. Is that really why you think they are mad? Did you just try to lecture somebody and include that? Their reason for being mad may be unfounded to a lot of people but that is certainly not why they are mad. Jesus Christ.

I gotta disagree with that one. In every article, every interview I've seen it's simply about race.

I also disagree that blacks don't care about black on black crime. The majority have jobs, do care about their neighborhood and as in most cases, the loudest and most easily stereotyped get all the attention.

I suspect the growing black middle class is disgusted by much of this drama, although the racial narrative must have - at least initially - struck a nerve.

Oh, I'm sure it does. Look at how these stories are reported. People can get whipped into a frenzy over anything (Ebola, carjackings, home invasions) and overreact. I'm sure the Brown story is a good example of a few people causing a scene and dragging others into the hive.

Everyone is busy working. No time to riot. Im sure some dont agree with it but get on with their lives. Im sure some in the baby boomer generation of middle class generation it def struck a nerve. Because they went through real racism.

If you had to take a guess, what percentage of the black population is within the "growing middle class" that is referenced above.

Is it a majority?

The racial narrative is the only one that remains even after the facts have surfaced. It was always primarily about race.

I suspect that no one is more pissed off about the rioters that the residents of Ferguson, particularly the business owners. It has to be infuriating watching your neighbors and kids being played like a fiddle by outside political interests and agitators.
