You’re free to the extent where it’s convenient for the government
the stolen Election for example - you were free to vote for whoever you wanted to, but the government will step in and change your vote if they deem it necessary.

How is the 2nd amendment the ultimate expression of freedom when that right can be taken away with a felony conviction not even involving a firearm or any violent action.

Freedom just means degree of movement. Choice is a movement.
Your rights end where mine begin is an old statement. We recognized rights as coming from God, but since atheist nihilist hedonists run the country, they believe rights come from them. So they limit degree of movement and choice when it suits them.

What are your thoughts on this kind of private tyranny?
The past year has shown just how much of an oligarchy the US really is.

Kris Kristopherson said it best,
“Freedom is just another word for nothin left to lose”.
Our rights have been slowly eroded in this nation for decades.
Recently, I’m of the opinion that true freedom is an illusion.

I used to think freedom from government was what freedom was all about. I never even thought large corporations and groups of private citizens could do what they’ve been doing lately to silence and harass people.
So what is freedom? If corporations and private groups can “cancel” you, is that freedom even if it’s not the government doing it? If private citizens are free to do what they want, are they free to oppress others? It’s a paradox.
What are your thoughts on this kind of private tyranny?
It is a bit of a paradox. No one has the right to oppress, but then what is true oppression versus perceived oppression? I bring that up because what we are seeing is oppression being doled out by those who believe they are being oppressed, however they think they are just fighting back. If you are oppressed, can you be the oppressor as well?
It gets crazy but that perception is a big part of the problem and it derives directly from the victimization mentality that's swept across the country.
I don't know what the answer is other than to buy a few dozen acres out in the middle of nowhere and be the fricking Ingalls family.

We’ve confused relative economic success with freedom. We’re not really a stalwart example of capitalism anymore.
So we’re just a “bread and circuses” kleptocracy. Sitting around watching the body politic cool.

In the Marxist narrative, it is imperative for the oppressed (as defined by Marxism) to oppress the oppressors. One of the recent “New Discourses” podcasts goes over this in depth with the reading of neo-Marxist Herbert Marcuse’s essay on “Repressive Tolerance.”

Freedom is the absence of coercion.

Isaiah Berlin would be some good reading for you. Also Locke.

The law abiding majority decided that those criminals who've committed felonies do not deserve the same rights that society enjoys.
Freedom to commit crime isn't what a free society anywhere can tolerate.

IMO, you cannot define Freedom until it is defined who can determine consequences for actions?
Who gets to determine consequences? Government? The Majority? The Mobs? God?
Freedom is only what you do within those boundaries.

Careful. Next thing you'll be saying the corporations are oppressing us with high prices and the rent is too damn high.

So?
Gotcha games over “free markets” is an argument from the 80s.

Would love to hear you expand upon the extent to which you want government to dictate to people what they should do with their money and their business.

But it is the government doing it. Tech has used the levers of government all along the way to get as big as they are and they are in bed with the democrats now. The government has had far too much power for too long, and what you’re experiencing now is the fruit from a tree that was plantes in the early 20th century. Don’t think it’s going to get better, either. As technology continues to progress exponentially, it will be increasingly used against your freedoms. The government is becoming omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.
