That's current law. As a Canadian you might not understand our system but the bill before Congress would change that if passed.

What part of “I’m an American” did you not understand? It would immediately go to the Supreme Court and get struck down. The Moreno bill relies heavily on the part that has already been deemed unconstitutional twice.

I don't either.
The people I knew who had dual citizenship kept them until age 21. At that age the non US country required a decision and they renounced and kept the US citizenship.

But no I don't think Irish/Italian/Canadian dual Citizenship is a problem, they already share the same fundamental culture we do, and I'm not sure many of them actively hate the USA.
