EC votes and bourbon are the ONLY reasons anyone gives a shite about what happens in Kentucky. People there need to vote better.

I can see some merit to awarding electoral votes by congressional districts and give each states’ 2 “bonus” electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote in the state.
That would reward gerrymandering though.

Id actually look at moving to any state that had an EC setup for its own state elections.
I started a thread on this a few months ago. Was pretty split with regards to people saying it would water down votes of people in city-counties vs rural podunk county voters. My argument is now pols would have to appeal to all voters and not just worry about the population center voters.
It would be in the spirit of Calhoun's concurrent majority over a simple majority.

Does this doofus not understand that the EC enfranchises rural America?
Yes, he totally understands this... and he/they/liberals HATE rural America.

Kentuckians won’t count for shite.
He doesn't care... as long as Dems are in power on the federal level. That's all he cares about it. It's tribal/identity politics and his loyalty to the Democrat party and progressive ideology comes first, Kentucky is an afterthought.

What does the OP mean by it’s starting?
The National Popular Vote Interstate Pact is 18 years old.
As soon as enough states to get to 270 EVs sign on they will enact it. They are at 209 now with states with 50 more EVs pending.
I would think if this ever moves forward the SC will have to rule on whether this follows the constitution.
Who knows how that comes out but another reason it’s important to have original intent people on the court.

OK, let's do that.....but the trade-off is:
-paper ballots only
-in person only
-no early voting
-same day count
-NO MAIL BALLOTS
-minimal exceptions and prior approval required
Deal?
Watch them runs for the hills!!!!!!!!!
