The Ivy League truly is smarter than the rest of us, and the cream rises to the top there.

Abe was looking towards Liberia.

Lol. But it’s only the right that indulges in conspiracy theories.

Good god. Hopefully he will get ratio'ed but probably not. Imagine if he actually knew what he was talking about, or taken 1 second to google it.

It was the first American coin to bear a president's image on its face. Lincoln is facing to the right because that was the direction he was facing in the photograph Victor David Brenner used to make his bas-relief for the penny.

Abe was looking in the direction he wanted to send the freed slaves

It was originally made of copper to be easily differentiated from a dime and the value of the penny itself in copper was also approximately 1 cent. Lincoln wasn't featured on the penny until 1909, the first president ever featured on a coin, and he was portrayed on the penny on the 100th anniversary of his birth. There is no historical significance with the direction Lincoln is facing. But the penny was made of copper long before Lincoln's bust was displayed on the front. His bust was preceded by an Indian head, a flying eagle, and Lady Liberty. The first penny Lady Liberty's head was facing the right. The next Lady Liberty and Indian head penny's were facing to the left.

How can science convince you of racism when science itself is racist?

Facing right... First Republican President... But that over-promoted fry cook says it's racism.
